Dead Horse
Guns N' Roses Lyrics

Sick of this life
Not that you'd care
I'm not the only one
With whom these feelings I share

Nobody understands
Quite why we're here
We're searchin' for answers
That never appear
But maybe if I looked real hard I'd
I'd see your tryin' too
To understand this life
That we're all goin' through
(Then when she said she was gonna like wreck my car
I didn't know what to do)

Sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse
And I don't know why you'd be bringin' me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny but you'd think by now
I'd be smilin'
I guess some things never change
Never change

I met an old cowboy
I saw the look in his eyes
Somethin' tells me he's been here before
'Cause experience makes you wise
I was only a small child
When the thought first came to me
That I'm a son of a gun and the gun of a son
That brought back the devil in me

But sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse
I don't know why you'd be bringin' me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny but you'd think by now
I'd be smilin'
I guess some things never change
Never change

I ain't quite what you'd call an old soul
Still wet behind the ears
I been around this track a couple o' times
But now the dust is startin' to clear
Oh yeah

Sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse
I don't know why you'd be bringin' me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny but you'd think by now
I'd be smilin'
Ooh yeah, I'd be smilin'
No way I'd be smilin'
Ooh smilin'

Sick of this life
Not that you'd care
I'm not the only one
With whom these feelings I share

[Intro]
Sick of this life, not that you'd care
I'm not the only one with whom, these feelings, I share
Nobody understands quite why we're here
We're searching for answers that never appear
Maybe if I looked real hard, I'd, I'd see you trying, too
To understand this life that we're all going through
"Then when she said she was going to, like, wreck my car
I didn't know what to do"

[Chorus]
Oh, sometimes, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse
And I don't know why you'd be bringing me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny, but you'd think, by now, I'd be smiling
I guess some things never change
Oh, never change

[Verse]
I met an old cowboy, I saw the look in his eyes
Something tells me he's been here before 'cause experience makes you wise
I was only a small child when the thought first came to me
That I'm a son of a gun and the gun of a son that brought back the devil in me

[Chorus]
Oh, ut sometimes, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse
I don't know why you'd be bringing me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny, but you'd think, by now, I'd be smiling
Yeah, I guess some things never change
Ooh, never change

[Bridge]
I ain't quite what you'd call an old soul
Still, wet behind the years
I've been around this track a couple of times
But now the dust is starting to clear, oh, yeah

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]
Sometimes, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse
I don't know why you'd be bringing me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny, but you'd think, by now, I'd be smiling
Ooh, yeah, I'd be smiling
No way I'd be smiling
Ooh, smiling

[Outro]
Sick of this life, not that you'd care
I'm not the only one with whom, these feelings, I share

To understand this life,
That we're all goin' through
(Then when she said she was gonna like wreck my car...
I didn't know what to do)

Sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse
An I don't know why you'd be bringin' me down
I'd like to think that our love's worth a tad more
It may sound funny but you'd think by now
I'd be smilin'

@Anderson Cooper Didn’t say it justified.
But the difference is he only gets the blame.
Funny thing that same women was also arrested for domestic violence.
Lol.
They aren't innocent either.
All women aren't angels.
I used to think like that. But when I dig deeper about it and that changed my mind.
How great they were lol.
When a man hits women he is called 'Womenbeater' but when women does the same thing they don't get labelled anything.
Mirror and Hammer logic doesn’t count here..
Know those women's history too other than just one side.
But if you still think the same then that's pathetic

Tha Real Mccoy

You are totally right, matter fact Use your Illusion ( the album containing this song) came out in 1991, during the beginning of grunge, which why the mood is depressing

Simon Hunter

It definately is, in part.

The Maiden

Paul McCartney's daughter went to the same show you did and didn't believe that her dad wrote Live and Let Die. She thought it was a GNR original.
