I was there with my ex- girlfriend and my older sister with her boyfriend. I didn't see it till after....I heard a huge thump...then I saw Owen motionless...we were all crying. 🙏🏻 I'm still spooked by it. Uh...no. What happened was the harness was supposed to do that. It took less pressure than it takes to pull the trigger of a gun than to open that harness. The conclusion that the investigators came to was that his chest expanding from taking a deep breath was what caused it to open too early.

I was at the Nassau Coliseum and saw Droz break his neck. I was 14 at the time. No one really knew what had happened. It just looked like a very strange maneuver. Not loud or exciting. They just looked like they both fell, clumsily. Goes to show that the big flashy loud hits are all the safe ones. If you're ever at a wrestling show and they fall and it's relatively quiet - something's really wrong.

They still claim the "lights were out" on Owen's death, but I swear to God I saw that last 10 feet of his fall and watched his face snap back on the ring corner then he hit the mat hard. We were on the side he landed on - right center about 20 rows back. I'll never forget hearing he died on our drive home, they didn't tell the audience and just kept going. So we thought he had to have been at least somewhat okay.

@King Moe Jackson I saw the hit, then he legit never moved. I just kept staring at his hand - because as a kid, when someone gets hurt, you wait for them to raise their arm to let you know their okay. He never did.
They just moved on with the show then, so we didn't find out he died until driving home. Then we were angry and sad and a little sick that we were there and the show just kept going without a word.

I'm watchn over the edge '99 now and during the first or second match Jim Ross stated how there was debris falling from the ceiling during the fight.. so that means there was something wrong with the ceiling from the get go..so body should've checked that out wayyy before this event was scheduled..yearly checkup from the state to deem the roof safe in general!

The WWE actually didn't go to trial. It was a lawsuit that was settled out of court. Had Martha taken it to trial, WWE wouldn't have had a leg to stand on, but Jerry McDevitt is a brutal lawyer that has gotten his pimp McMahon out of trouble many times, so I wouldn't have been surprised if he had charmed the jury into thinking it was somebody elses fault, which is the same BS story they have been parroting for decades. They passed the buck onto the company that made the harness, & immediately sued them for the same amount that they settled with Martha, which goes to show how "remorseful" they were.

I think in 2002 on winmx I unintentionally downloaded it but I didn’t know who it was at the time. The camera was panned at ring level so u couldn’t see the fall just the land and bounce into the ring. I thought it was part of a movie. I was there for when Owen Hart had his accident and that’s definitely something I can’t get out of my head nobody should have to see that I feel bad for all the kids that were in attendance that day because that was horrific it should definitely never be shown what happened

I always thought Vince killed Owen. Warrior dead macho man dead. Both supposedly slept with his daughter. Bret got his career ruined by a goof from wcw one of the only wcw guys still alive that was allowed to do good in WWE. Hmmm I bet if we think hard enough we can think of more people Vince didn't like that died.

I don't care what anybody says, The Self-Destruction of UW is still highly watchable to this day because no matter how petty WWE were being, they didn't tell a single lie. And no, that video did not damage his career, as he was out of wrestling by then.

Something on Owen Hart's death was that the harrness was small and (im not sure is this is true or not) but that there were less saftey things to help Hart

@@fistibro7885 hell yeah! Vince is like that and has the money to cover it all up. He was fucking Benoit's wife and she was ready to expose their affair. Vince killed his whole family then paid to have the report changed cause at first the Benoit murders were first reported as a triple homicide. The next day the new report changed to a double homicide then Benoit committed suicide in a freshly found "letter" that they apparently didn't see on/in the dresser of all places on the first day of investigating the Benoit murders. How many murder investigators miss something that obvious? NEVER! There are more Vince stories that can be dissected and you can see the truth if you want or follow the sheep in thinking these guys REALLY died of these weird causes🤷🏽‍♂️
