@bio Unfortunately, so much of the future rests on the socialization and education of our children and the arts have been largely written out of the curriculum of American public education. All that they have coming at them is music as a product to sell in which they are buyers and consumers, not listeners.

@inkyguy If nothing else my school puts a large amount of budget into the fine arts programs (we have band, orchestra, jazz band, marching band, choir, and art), and we see the arts as something that benefits every student (at least 2 years of fine arts classes is a requirement to graduate).
