In 2005 drummer Ty Smith left Guttermouth and was replaced by Ryan Farrell. Bass player Kevin Clark departed the following year and founding member Clint Weinrich returned to the group. This lineup recorded the band's tenth album Shave the Planet, released in 2006 by Volcom Entertainment. The album found the band once again using their brand of humorous punk rock to poke fun at a number of subjects. Although Weinrich remains a member of the band, Clark has since rejoined the group and handles most of the touring. In June 2008 Farrell announced that Sheldon had left the band to focus on his family, having recently had a fourth child. The band's official Myspace profile lists Sheldon's replacement as Dave Luckett, with Donald Horne being replaced by Hunter Munich. In December 2008 Adkins announced that the band had returned to Hopeless Records, one of their first record labels, in celebration of their 20th Anniversary, and that Guttermouth is working on a new album. A further line-up change occurred in 2009, when Munich was replaced by Brandon Zinkil.
After a hiatus and further controversy on a 2013 tour, singer Adkins moved to Mexico and reformed the band in 2015.
Guttermouth with Bird Attack Records and Rude Records released Got it Made, a six song EP.
Looking Out For #1
Guttermouth Lyrics

Who's smiling down on me
It's not really fair
I don't even care
Bestow no pity on me
We all must choose a path
In rough to our demise
But I will never think twice
A wench might make you happy
But only half the time
Be takin no wife
Or filling my life
With heartache pain and strife
[Chorus]
If I had my way
I would roam around the world
A beer from every land
And an eye on every girl
When your life is over
And you time has finally come
You'll never have regrets
Looking out for #1
I don't need no money
Of fame or fancy cars
You'd better heed
I got what I need
No home and electric guitars
Now that the end is near
A light goes on inside your head
While I was sailing the seven seas
You were putting the children to bed
[Chorus]
The lyrics to Guttermouth's song "Looking Out For #1" are about the singer's philosophy of life. He believes that we should look out for ourselves and not care too much about what others think. He mentions that there must be someone out there who's smiling down on him, but that he doesn't care about fairness. He wants to roam around the world and try all kinds of beer, and keep an eye on every girl. He doesn't care about money, fame, or fancy cars – he's happy with what he's got.
The lyrics then suggest that when it all comes to an end, the singer will have no regrets for his choices in life. He believes that taking care of oneself and looking out for one's own needs is important, that people should choose a path in life that they believe best suits them, and that they shouldn't be afraid to take risks. Essentially, the song is about being a free spirit, taking control of your life, and living your life to the fullest.
In conclusion, “Looking Out For #1” is a song that paints a picture of living life boldly, with no regrets. The message is to embrace your individuality, to feel good about your accomplishments, and not to worry too much about the opinions of others.

There must be someone out there
I believe there is a higher power looking out for me
Who's smiling down on me
This higher power is happy when I am happy

I don't even care
Because I am going to look out for myself no matter what
Bestow no pity on me

In rough to our demise
Sometimes those decisions will lead to difficult situations

Some people avoid making tough decisions, but I won't be one of them
But I will never think twice
I am confident in my choices and won't hesitate
A wench might make you happy
Women might bring temporary happiness
But only half the time
But that happiness won't last forever
Be takin no wife
So I won't be getting married or settling down
Or filling my life
Because I don't want to experience the pain and heartache that comes with it
With heartache pain and strife
Those things are not worth the temporary happiness
If I had my way
If I could do whatever I wanted
I would roam around the world
I would travel and see everything I could
A beer from every land
And drink the local beers
And an eye on every girl
And flirt with all the women I meet
When your life is over
When you come to the end of your life
And you time has finally come
When you face the end of your time on this earth
You'll never have regrets
If you always look out for yourself and do what makes you happy
Looking out for #1
Putting yourself first is the key to a regret-free life
I don't need no money
I don't need a lot of money to be happy
Of fame or fancy cars
Or all the things that people think will make them happy
You'd better heed
Pay attention to this advice
I got what I need
Because I have what I need to be happy
No home and electric guitars
I don't need a big house or expensive things to be happy
Now that the end is near
When you look back on your life
A light goes on inside your head
You realize what is truly important
While I was sailing the seven seas
While I was living my life to the fullest
You were putting the children to bed
You were busy with the responsibilities of family life
