Rock-A-Billy
Guy Mitchell Lyrics

[CHORUS:]
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock, rock, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock, rock

Some people think it came from Tennessee
Then spread on out to the lone prairie
It's the hillbilly rock, feeddlee dee
Turns me inside out
Gimme some
[CHORUS]

Hey, grab yourself a partner, lose the blues
Wear your store-bought clothes and your stompin' shoes
Better head for the hills, gonna blow my fuse
Hooo, I'm gonna shout
Gimme some
[CHORUS]

Since rock-a-billy swang the do-si-do
And the gee-tar man chased the old banjo
Leave the hoe for the crow, holler "Go, oh man, go"
Wiggle like a trout
Gimme some

Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock, rock, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock
Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, hoo!, rock, rock

From the moment I feel this crazy beat
Ya gotta lose control or you're two left feet
Give me mountain juice, turn me loose
Leave me wave my arms about
Gimme some
CHORUS

[BRIDGE]
Ya know what rock-a-billy's all about
Ya know it's gonna make ya sing and shout
Ya know you're gonna act like a crazy fool
Who cares? It's cool

Rock-a-billy, rock-a-billy, rock, rock

I was born in 1998 but this always felt like the decade I belonged in, everything I own from either 1940's or 1950's, my fridge, stove, waffle maker, perculator coffee maker, toaster, TV, seaburg background music box, record player, radios, lane acclaim, dining room table, even my hand painted siamese cats, I can't get enough of this stuff I even started collecting and wearing 50's clothing from the dresses, a line skirts and heels.

Jonathon Ripley

A great talent through and through with his voice, style and fantastic beat which made him a well known name in the music world of the 1950's. A man who wasn't a stranger to making hits in America and England and rest of the world through a lengthy career that placed him as a house hold name for great timing, well dressed and well groomed. A talent truly missed and well known as well as a great influence on making his own mark when an opportunity came his way. A great man that people loved to see.
