Climb Every Mountain
Guy Sebastian Lyrics
Climb every mountain
Search high and low
Follow every highway
Every path you know
Ooh, yeah
Climb every mountain
Ford every stream
Follow every rainbow
A dream that will need
All the love you can give
Every day of your life
For as long as you live
Climb every mountain
Ford every stream
Follow every rainbow
'Till you find your place
Climb every mountain
Ford every stream
Follow every mountain (every mountain)
Don't you ever give up, no ohh
Climb every mountain (every mountain)
There's a brighter day on the other side
Follow every rainbow
'Till you find your dream

Like it Like That Sebastian's 5th studio album was released on 23 October 2009. There are presently two singles released which are #1 ranked Like it Like That 2 x platinum and #8 ranked Art of Love (Feat. Jordin Sparks) Gold. Penning all tracks on this album, Sebastian's songwriting skills are as strong as his rich soulful voice which are influenced by the genres of soul, Rhythm and Blues and Pop. John Mayer plays on and provides backing vocals on three tracks with a guitar solo on the track Fail to Mention.
Early in 2007, Sebastian travelled to the home of blues, roots and soul - Memphis, Tennessee - to record his fourth album The Memphis Album. The record that took Sebastian back to his roots features legendary guitarist Steve Cropper (of Booker T & The MG’s). Cropper, who co-wrote Otis Redding's soul classic "Dock of The Bay" among other classic Stax/Volt hits played on and produced the album as well as traveling to Australia in 2008 to tour "The Memphis Album' and he brought the MG's with him. Of Guy’s soulful voice Cropper enthuses, “Guy is one of the best singers I’ve ever worked with. He's the voice that we've been looking for.” Two tracks off the album are I've Been Loving You Too long (an Otis Redding classic) and Take Me To The River (an Al Green classic),

I remember that night! I was in Australia 2003 and was down and depressed. I was struggling to find work and my ex husband was on extra long hours at work and trips to the supermarket and meeting other women. I sat watching this, with tears my eyes, and goosebumps and hope in my heart that things were going to get better! His winning song was angels brought me here! Such a spiritual experience! Nameste 🙏🏻

This is my favorite Idol moment ever - for so many reasons. Guy showed the world what he is made off. I cant imagine any other performer taking a such a tame song and making it his own. This guy brought Australia to its knees crying, because the song became HIS journey - He is the dude that climbed every mountain, he put up with people mocking his virginity and his religion and sent those accusations back to the pit where it came from. Total inspiration.

It's not a tame song. It's powerful and uplifting. Watch "The Sound of Music" and you will understand what I mean.

My husband and I sat enraptured as this song poured out of Guy. Suddenly, tears sprang to both our eyes and we had what felt like a "religious experience" - the way he sang it was deeply moving and it deserves a 5-star rating. Unforgettable!

I think this is the equal best version of this song ever - along with the original in the musical. It's sung with such genuine passion and understanding.

Guy doesn't have the greatest range vocally, but he has an exceptional amount of soul in his songs that really tug at you and that is what can really take him far. =]

Watching Guys journey through Australian Idol gave me something to focus on when my daughter was being treated for cancer she was just 2 at the time. I followed Guy from his audition and remember being in the hospital next to my daughters bed on grand final night. I was watching it on the TV above my daughters bed the place was absolutely silent. And I had to restrain myself from yelling yes!!! When he won. It was a very happy moment. It really helped me cope. My daughter is still in remission!
