Like it Like That Sebastian's 5th studio album was released on 23 October 2009. There are presently two singles released which are #1 ranked Like it Like That 2 x platinum and #8 ranked Art of Love (Feat. Jordin Sparks) Gold. Penning all tracks on this album, Sebastian's songwriting skills are as strong as his rich soulful voice which are influenced by the genres of soul, Rhythm and Blues and Pop. John Mayer plays on and provides backing vocals on three tracks with a guitar solo on the track Fail to Mention.
Early in 2007, Sebastian travelled to the home of blues, roots and soul - Memphis, Tennessee - to record his fourth album The Memphis Album. The record that took Sebastian back to his roots features legendary guitarist Steve Cropper (of Booker T & The MG’s). Cropper, who co-wrote Otis Redding's soul classic "Dock of The Bay" among other classic Stax/Volt hits played on and produced the album as well as traveling to Australia in 2008 to tour "The Memphis Album' and he brought the MG's with him. Of Guy’s soulful voice Cropper enthuses, “Guy is one of the best singers I’ve ever worked with. He's the voice that we've been looking for.” Two tracks off the album are I've Been Loving You Too long (an Otis Redding classic) and Take Me To The River (an Al Green classic),

Don't Worry Be Happy
Guy Sebastian Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Singing 'California Dreaming' at the top of my lungs
Unaware, not a care
And then he appeared
Thought he was winding down his window just to say 'hello'
But he started cussing at me, saying I'm going too slow
Then he yelled "Go to Hell"
Is it really that bad?
Really that bad
I don't think it's really that bad
Come on, get with it
If you only think of things that you haven't got
You could have it all and still never have enough
So don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
And if you're trying to make a move
But you're stuck in mud, under water
And you don't know which way's up
Yeah, don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
Another day, another plane, another interview
Just trying hard to get thru my list of things to do
What's the use, might fake the flu
'Cause I've had enough
That's it - screw the low carbs, where's my KFC?
Ain't gonna think about the bills or the GFC
Life is short - live it up
'Cause we live it once
Is it really that bad?
Really that bad
I don't think it's really that bad
Come on, get with it
If you only think of things that you haven't got
You could have it all and still never have enough
So don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
And if you're trying to make a move
But you're stuck in mud, under water
And you don't know which way's up
Yeah, don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
Yeah life is short
We only get to live it once
So live and love
And give it all you've got
Yeah life is short
We only live it once
So live it up
Yeah life is short
We only get to live it once
So live and love
And give it all you've got
Yeah life is short
We only live it once
So live it up
Is it really that bad?
Yeah I don't think it's really that bad
If you only think of things that you haven't got
You could have it all and still never have enough
So don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
And if you're trying to make a move
But you're stuck in mud, under water
And you don't know which way's up
Don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
So don't worry (don't worry), be happy (be happy)
Don't worry (don't worry), be happy
Be happy, yeah
Don't worry, be happy, don't worry, be happy
Be happy, yeah
In the first verse of Guy Sebastian's song "Don't Worry Be Happy," the singer is driving down the 101 freeway in California, singing "California Dreaming" at the top of his lungs. He is "unaware, not a care" until another driver appears next to him and starts cussing at him, saying he's going too slow. The other driver yells "Go to Hell" and flips him the bird. In the chorus, Guy questions the severity of the situation, suggesting that it's not really that bad and that we should all just get with it.
The second verse finds Guy in a different scenario, trying to get through a list of things to do, but feeling like it's all a bit pointless. He tells himself that he might as well just forget about eating healthily and go get some KFC instead. The chorus repeats with the message to not worry and to be happy, reminding us that we should enjoy life and not get too caught up in the negatives.
The overall message of the song is to let go of worry and focus on the positive aspects of life, no matter how small they may seem. Despite encountering unpleasant situations and feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities, we should try to keep a positive attitude and enjoy the time we have.

right? I never heard about him till I listened to Battle Scars by Lupe
@temptationofmemories
Jaime Fuentes Guy Sebastian wrote Battle Scars. It was his song originally, the other artist simply wrote a rap to go with it. That's why only the American single was released in the rapper's name, saying featuring Guy Sebastian.
@jamesbaldiuno8349
Neeta Song Either way the song is still awesome and Guy Sebastian's voice is amazing
@TheMcmeijer
Why isn't he world famous yet?
@temptationofmemories
Guy's label doesn't really support him well enough to expand beyond Australia, e
though his spot on Eurovision will have finally gotten him made i n Europe anyway. The American music scene is always hard for Aussies to break because their music scene is so isolated. Europe and Australia have a history of sharing their artists while Americans have their own charts and music scene and they don't take all that well to European artists. Unless they are hugely famous. Furthermore most in the USA don't know Australian singers really. Except for maybe Olivia Newton John or Anthony Warlow though only theatre buffs tend to know him. Karise Eden for example of one of the most talented female singers I've heard in years. She's the closest thing to Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin you'll get but has her own unique sound again. Yet shes an Australian singer so I'll bet Americans have no idea who she is. For Guy it's the same thing really.
