Under The Boardwalk
Guy Sebastian Lyrics

And burns the tar up on the roof.
And your shoes get so hot,
You wish your tired feet were fireproof.
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be.
From the park you hear
You can almost taste the hot dogs
And french fries they sell.
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be.
Under the boardwalk, out of the sun.
Under the boardwalk, we'll be havin' some fun.
Under the boardwalk, people walkin' above.
Under the boardwalk, we'll be fallin' in love
Under the boardwalk, boardwalk.
Ooh, la la la la la la.
Ooh, la la la la la la la la la.
Help me somebody, sing some la la's with me.
Under the night, under the stars, down by the raging sea.
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be.
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be.
Under the boardwalk, out of the sun.
Under the boardwalk, we'll be havin' some fun.
Under the boardwalk, people walkin' above.
Under the boardwalk, we'll be falling in love.
Under the boardwalk, boardwalk. whew!
Guy Sebastian's song "Under The Boardwalk" is an ode to the magic of summer and the escape from the heat that can be found on a boardwalk by the sea. The song opens with the singer describing the oppressive heat of the sun beating down on the roof and the discomfort it brings to those trying to walk on hot pavement. The lyrics then describe the allure of seeking relief in the cool shade beneath the boardwalk, where the singer and his lover can escape the burning sun and relax on a blanket together.
As the song continues, the boardwalk comes to life with the sounds of a carousel and the smell of hot dogs and french fries. The singer's descriptions convey a sense of nostalgia for the simple pleasures of a summer day spent at the beach. The boardwalk represents a place of escape, fun and love where couples can fall for each other.
The song's catchy lyrics and upbeat melody are sure to make it a hit with listeners looking for a feel-good summer anthem, and will surely remind them of nostalgic memories or invite them to create new ones.
