The Other Side
H.D.Q. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Late night on a Sunday
I'm in bed wide awake
Waiting for you
To pick up the call

Oh oh oh oh

Before the 7th ring
I hear you say Hey!
I smiled and told you
All about my day
Yeah yeah

And I miss you because

You're on the other side
Other side of the world
Workin' day and night
Even before the sun shines bright
You're on the other side
Oh the other side of the world oh woah oh
Just never ever ever forget
To get some rest!

You're on the other side
Other side of the world
Workin' day and night
Even before the sun shines bright
You're on the other side
Ohh the other side of the world oh woah oh
Just never ever ever forget
To get some rest!

Oh oh

Just never ever ever forget
To get some rest!

Oh oh

Just never ever ever forget
To get some rest!

Very good, Lon. The place has changed since I visited W1AW 53 years ago. That was soon after they built the larger lab building behind the station.

Very interesting . I was interested in Amateur Radio around 1960 to 1970 when it was nearly all DIY .The WIA , here & ARRL handbooks were my window to the world , mainly as a SW listener but i did make some TV antennas for long range reception . TV , here was just starting in 1956 & i liked the challenge of trying to get on ducting days NZ tv etc & slow scan HF tv from abroad . Times have changed the hobby but i liked to see those modern morse keys . The basics are well worth learning & making your own gear when you get a higher license . i never went past the first level but always regret i had not made an effort to fully qualify.

Sweet.. that little old New Zealand at the ass end of the pacific gets a mention. I have worked in TV Audio for 25 years and really appreciate the higher production values used here, Using simple radio mics takes your youtube content to the next level and gets a subscribe from me.
