Why is it that before I even get to know someone, I have preconceived judgments about their characteristics?

Rich or poor, fake or real, do they even belong here
I categorize people based on their wealth, authenticity, and whether or not they fit in with a particular group.

Man if I could, I'd probably just make them dissa
If it were in my power, I might prefer to exclude or dismiss those individuals.

Whoa, ok I admit my hypocrisy's a problem didn't realize my conceit was so severe
Wow, I acknowledge that my hypocrisy is an issue, and I now understand that my arrogance is more significant than I thought.

Listen, it's human nature to only notice the negatives
As humans, we tend to focus on and pay attention to the flaws and negatives in others.

You try your hardest but I'll only notice when you fall
Even if you make an effort, I will only take note when you make a mistake or experience a setback.

It hurts but its true that my words will stick to you
Although it may be painful, it is undeniable that my critical words will have a lasting impact on you.

Like I'm a DH fathead stuck up on your wall, whoa
My criticisms will cling to you persistently, like a sticker of a designated hitter on your wall, emphasizing their lingering effect.

And it's funny, cuz I don't even care what you think of me
Ironically, I genuinely don't care about your opinion of me.

While we talk horizontally I'm talking with the one above me
While engaging in human conversations, I simultaneously have a vertical dialogue with God.

Literally I'm talking vertically, it's called faith cuz I can't see and
I am literally speaking upwards, referring to faith as it requires belief in something unseen.

It's called grace and that's why I believe
It is known as grace, and that is the reason why I have faith and trust.

All I hope is when you see me you see him, talking about my savior
My desire is for others to perceive my connection to Jesus when they look at me.

Had to stop blaming others, look in the mirror, change my behavior
I realized the need to cease attributing blame to others and instead examine myself, prompting a change in my actions and attitudes.

I've learned to love correction, it only makes me better
I have come to embrace constructive criticism, as it serves to improve and enhance my character.

So when you address my failures you're doing me a favor
When you point out my mistakes and shortcomings, you are actually benefiting me.

The things we judge each other on, you know, race, money, jobs
The aspects on which we base our judgments of others, such as their race, financial status, and occupations.

It's no coincidence that they were all created by God
It is not by chance that these characteristics, which we often judge others based on, were all established by God.

We try to judge with our own standard it just doesn't work
We attempt to evaluate and assess others based on our personal criteria, but this approach is ultimately flawed and ineffective.

So I'ma be second put others first let God determine my worth
Therefore, I will prioritize others ahead of myself, allowing God to determine my value and significance.

How much are we worth? Why don't we ask the grave
If we are curious about our true worth, perhaps we should inquire with the grave, which signifies our ultimate fate.

Or here's a better idea. Why don't we ask the cross
Alternatively, a more profound suggestion is to seek answers from the symbolic representation of the cross, representing the sacrifice of Jesus.

Cuz we're just at work, doing employee things
In reality, we are mere workers, engaged in the mundane tasks associated with our roles or responsibilities.

But when push comes to shove and death comes to life we listen to the boss
However, when faced with difficult circumstances and the inevitability of death, we ultimately yield to the authority and guidance of the boss, referring to God.

And the lies I tell myself are usually what shape my worth
The falsehoods and deceits I convince myself of often contribute to the formation of my self-esteem and value.

And it's so easy to strive for approval from this broken world
It is effortless to seek validation and acceptance from a world that is marred and imperfect.

Nobody wants to be judged, we all wanna be accepted
Everyone desires to be embraced and acknowledged rather than facing judgments and criticisms.

If I could leave you with one thing then it would be this message, pay attention
If I were to impart a single notion to you, it would be to listen carefully and heed this message.

We all got dirt, matter fact that's how we were created
Every one of us possesses flaws and imperfections, in fact, they are inherent in our creation.

Show me the rich and the poor, I'll still see dirt
Regardless of one's wealth or poverty, I will perceive the inherent faults and shortcomings in them.

What's amazing is God took that dirt and he shaped it
What is truly awe-inspiring is how God took our flawed nature and molded it into something purposeful and meaningful.

And made you and me called us his masterpiece artwork
He created each of us as his masterpiece, considering us his artwork of the highest caliber.
