The Tomb
H. P. Lovecraft Lyrics

747, baby we get higher than the sky
We’ll live in heaven baby, we could live a diamond life
Called at 11:00 and you asked me what I’m doing tonight
I said it could be you right now if you decide to slide

I’ll make it worth your while I promise I won’t waste your time
You know you drive me wild when you put on that dress I like

Lemme breath your air
Hit your spot right there
I’ma give you what you want girl, hold my hand and don’t be scared

No one like you in the whole world, way you look it just ain’t fair
Know you could gimme your heart girl, I’ma handle that with care, yeah

Feelings between us just let ‘em in
I could take you somewhere that you never been
Baby I’ll heal your heart be your medicine
Just relax I’ma show you just settle in

Girl you know that I ain’t like them other men
No you wont have to deal with that shit again
Baby I hope you feeling my sentiment
Know you perfect you sweeter than cinnamon

Baby come sit in the front seat
Need you to tell me you want me
I know you’ll love it you won’t leave
When I’m without you I can’t breathe

I need you here now, know you feel it in your heart
And baby it’s time let go of your fears now, you know we’ll have a new start
Yeah, oh

747, baby we get higher than the sky
We’ll live in heaven baby, we could live a diamond life
Called at 11:00 and you asked me what I’m doing tonight
I said it could be you right now if you decide to slide

I love how one of the most famous and skilled horror writers used the classic creepypasta cliche of starting with "I know people won't believe me but I swear it's real"

ArauJo Jhonatan

He probably did that before it was a cliché

Dr. Acula

That is also how most Penthouse Forum stories began too.

klittlet

He did when it was cool

Shashwat Swain

He started that classic creepypasta cliche starting

Laura Tanner

Lovecraft somehow gets away with a lot of things that would otherwise fall apart with other writers. Even when he falls back on his own cliches like the narrator who is, "wealthy beyond the necessity of a commercial life", as he puts it in this story. Or his insistence on never actually describing the most horrific aspects of his tales, opting instead to let the reader " fill in the blanks" while he assures them that "no words could ever convey such terrors" and so on. He actually satirizes himself about this in the short story, "The Unnamable". But, instead of being annoyed or bored with these tired devices one is generally amused as it becomes a sort of inside joke adding to the quaintness and reminding you that it wouldn't be Lovecraft without them.

I love how Jervas' nights spent in the Hyde tomb possibly communing with the spirits of those buried there inspired a poem basically telling him to go touch grass and enjoy life while he still has it instead of obsessing over the long dead and buried

Sanctus Infernus

Gotta love how it starts off with what is essentially a very elaborate "haters will say it's fake"

I came to this channel for SCP, but I stayed for the audiobooks. I love these so much.
