The sisters grew up in a musical family, and began playing instruments from an early age in the cover band Rockinhaim, fronted by their parents, Moti and Donna. The two elder sisters, Este and Danielle, began performing with the pop group "Valli Girls" in 2005. They released a few songs on soundtrack and compilation albums under that name, but left the group shortly after an appearance at the 2005 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. They formed Haim with younger sister Alana in 2007, but did not seriously consider it a professional career for some years. After Danielle became a successful touring guitarist, first with Jenny Lewis and later with Julian Casablancas, Haim reformed as a full-time operation in 2012.
The group's first release, Forever (an EP released as a limited-time download), combined with positive reception at the South by Southwest festival, led to a deal with Polydor Records and a management deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation group in mid-2012. The band began recording material for their first album, Days Are Gone, in sessions between touring dates, including appearances at the Glastonbury Festival. The album charted in the top ten in several countries, including the number-one spot in the UK, and the group had won several "best of" awards by the end of 2013. The group was nominated for Best New Artist at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Their second album, Something to Tell You, was released in July 2017. Their third album, titled Women in Music Pt. III, was released on June 26, 2020. The group received nominations at the 63rd Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best Rock Performance (for "The Steps").
04 If I Could Change Your Mind
HAIM Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've never done this before, drove a million miles
Back when you were mine
I was too young to know you were the one to find
But if I was to say I regret it
Would it mean a thing?
'Cause every time I think (I think), think about it
If I could change your mind
I would hit the ground running
It took time to realize
And I never saw it coming
Forgive my lying eyes
Gonna give you all or nothing
If I could change your mind
I could make you mine, make you mine
Now I won't go
I won't run away this time
You're all I wanna know
But if I was to say I'll forget it
Would it mean a thing?
'Cause every time I think (I think), think about it
Memories take me back to all of the wildest times
If I could change your mind
I would hit the ground running
It took time to realize
And I never saw it coming
Forgive my lying eyes
Gonna give you all or nothing
If I could change your mind
I could make you, make you mine
Visions of our love pass right by me
Your eyes are enough to remind me
Visions of our love pass right by me
Your eyes are enough to remind me
Visions of our love remind me
If I could change your mind
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
I would hit the ground running
It took time to realize
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
And I never saw it coming
Forgive my lying eyes
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
Gonna give you all or nothing
If I could change your mind
I could make you mine, make you mine
Visions of our love remind me
(If could change your mind)
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
Visions of our love remind me
(It took time to realize)
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
Visions of our love remind me
(Forgive my lying eyes)
(Never mind all the times that I told you)
Visions of our love remind me
(If I could change your mind)
(I could make you mine, make you mine)
The song "If I Could Change Your Mind" by Haim/Days are Gone is about regret over a lost love and wanting to change things to make that person love you again. The lyrics express a desire to make up for past mistakes and emphasize the importance of memories and realizing what you had when it's too late. The songs also touches on themes of forgiveness, sacrifice and second chances.
The first verse describes the regret of not recognizing the importance of the person when they were together. The lines "Back when you were mine, I was too young to know you were the one to find" highlights the realization that comes with hindsight. The second verse apologizes for the wrongs done and the chorus repeats the desire to change the past and the actions that would have been taken to remedy the situation.
The bridge talks about remembering the good times and how memories of love still linger despite the hurt and the chorus is repeated twice to echo the yearning to fix past mistakes.

I dont understand why they arent more famous. They are totally original and cool! Great music a style
@danohyeah5893
Not sure about original. They're heavily influenced by Fleetwood Mac. But they are very talented and made a brilliant debut album, so i don't know why they're not bigger. Seems people prefer 'songs' like Gucci Gang to music like this.
@cypresscempr3s399
