The song "君はどうして?" by HKT48 can be interpreted as a reflection on how people and things can change over time, and how it's not always easy to understand those changes. The lyrics describe a meeting with someone on the way to the station in summer, who the singer doesn't immediately recognize because of their changed appearance. This person used to be involved in club activities in junior high school and used to wear sports clothes that made them look like a boy. The singer wonders what caused this person's transformation and whether it was due to love or something else.
Throughout the song, the singer is curious about this person and what has made them shine so brightly, and seems to harbor some feelings of admiration towards them. The lyrics also describe how the singer and the person have both changed, and how even the things the singer used to take for granted, like the weeds by the roadside, can surprise them when they bloom into flowers. Overall, the song expresses a sense of wonder and nostalgia for the past and the changes that have come in between then and now.
