HKT48 Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The song "大人列車," meaning "Adult Train," by HKT48 depicts the pain and sadness of having to say goodbye to someone as they embark on a new journey. The lyrics describe the singer's failed attempt to make it to the station in time to say goodbye, and their inner turmoil as they wonder if they were able to properly express their feelings. As the train pulls away, the singer is left with a deep sense of loss and isolation, knowing that the person they care about is headed towards an unknown future.
The song explores the idea of growing up and the difficult emotions that come with it. The singer acknowledges that love is often unsatisfying and incomplete, and that the fleeting nature of youth can leave us with regrets and unresolved feelings. Despite this, they vow to keep searching for light in the darkness and to overcome their sadness in order to continue moving forward.
Overall, "大人列車" is a poignant reflection on the challenges of transition and the bittersweet experience of saying goodbye to someone we care about. It encourages listeners to confront their emotions and find strength in the face of adversity, reminding us that even in difficult times, we can find hope and meaning in life.
