All the Days
Haerts Lyrics

A summer gone
A memory faded
Lines are lost
In neon frost
On the sunset
We drew our names
In the water
Now you're gone
A love gone wrong
But I'll make it
All the days we had together
You can't teach
A heart to reach
Out to another
Leaving me
Will leave me free
To reach above now
All the days we had together
Oh and when the light is lost the night will follow
Our memory falls into the sun
And when the night is lost the light will follow
Our memory cannot take us back
All the days we had together
The lyrics of HAERTS's song "All the Days" are highly evocative and emotive, reflecting upon memories of love and loss. The song speaks about a past relationship and the singer's feelings of sorrow and heartache after it has ended. The chorus, "All the days we had together," is a poignant reminder of what once was and what can never be again. Through introspection and self-reflection, the singer comes to terms with their situation, recognizing that they must learn to move on and find happiness elsewhere.
The opening lines of the song set a melancholic tone, as the singer reminisces about a past summer that has faded into memory. The neon frost, a metaphorical representation of the memories that are now muddled and blurred, adds to the wistful atmosphere. The reference to "golden flames" in a later verse is a reminder of happier times, when the couple drew their names in the water. However, these flames have since been extinguished, and the singer is left to deal with the aftermath of a love gone wrong.
Despite the pain that comes with a broken heart, the singer acknowledges that it is impossible to teach oneself how to love again. The line "You can't teach a heart to reach out to another" suggests that this is something that must happen naturally, in its own time. However, the singer finds hope in the idea that leaving a toxic relationship behind can create new opportunities for growth and self-discovery. This is reflected in the lines "Leaving me will leave me free to reach above now," which imply that ending a relationship can be a cathartic experience.
In conclusion, "All the Days" is a poetic and moving exploration of the complexities of love and loss. It captures the sense of nostalgia and heartbreak that comes with the end of a relationship and offers a message of hope for the future.

Time has come
The moment has arrived
A summer gone
A season has passed
A memory faded
A recollection has become dim
Lines are lost
Words are misplaced
In neon frost
Glowing colors and patterns
On the sunset
On the horizon of daylight's end
Golden flames
Fiery embers of affection
We drew our names
We left our mark
In the water
Within the depths of liquid
Now you're gone
Now you have departed
A love gone wrong
A romance that did not work out
But I'll make it
But I will persevere
All the days we had together
The duration of our shared existence
You can't teach
One cannot instruct
A heart to reach
An individual's emotional desire to connect
Out to another
With someone else
Leaving me
Discontinuing with me
Will leave me free
Will liberate me
To reach above now
To elevate myself
Oh and when the light is lost the night will follow
The absence of illumination begets darkness
Our memory falls into the sun
Our recollection descends into the horizon
And when the night is lost the light will follow
The vanishing of shadows results in brightness
Our memory cannot take us back
Our recollection cannot revisit the past
All the days we had together
The duration of our shared existence

Some of the most emotionally charged and powerful close-ups I have seen. And when the camera pulls out at the start of the first chorus and reveals the dancers - perfectly timed and executed. AND that older lady dancer at the end, (we only see her at the beginning and then in a few shots towards the ending, she mostly smiles in her shots) has incredible presence on screen, seems to be feeling the music with her whole body. Absolutely fantastic - Hope to see more of your work! Good Luck :)
