This project was very popular right from the start and entered the charts. Originally inspired by Germanic occultism and culture through the Neo-Folk music scene, founder Andrea was involved with counter culture artists such as Boyd Rice, Patrick Leagas and Tony Wakeford, thus Hagalaz' Runedance was, in the beginning, linked to this genre, even referred to as the most selling Neo-Folk album. Electro masters Ulver were also collaborating on a few songs. The lyrics were based on modern themes, cleverly disguised with mythical metaphors.

The band dissolved many years ago and Andrea moved on and turned to her darker tunes and urban art again. None of her other projects have relations to the Hagalaz’ Runedance theme, and people should not claim otherwise!

I’m a free artist, I love my real life and personal freedom. I have evolved to amazing things and people should do the same. ”

I need artistic freedom and I only do things that give me energy. These days I work as a full-time artist with music, films, novel writings and acting and I love my job. I even work with famous film-directors and it’s awesome!

I like to exlore whatever new things come to my mind and I’m not afraid to stand alone. And I know people often feel threatened by such an individual, but hey, I rather am hated for who I am than loved for what I’m not. And I so encourage everyone out there to do the same. Actually there is no native american in this. the yelling and chanting in the back is a form of Seiðr: a chanting utilized to enter a prophetic trance to enter the dream/upper/lower worlds to gain access to hidden information. a type of shamnism that originated in the North near Norway and Sweden and Samiland. After the migration, the ice melted from the bridge that connected "europe" with the americas and the cultures were separated. that is why they have such similar shamanistic rituals :)

Some of my ancestors were Vikings. Some were Finns and others came from Wales. This sounds a little like a Sami joik. I may be wrong, but from my understanding, the spirits assign each person a joik like getting a name. One didn't merely sing about a subject. One became the subject within the song.With a song like this, i can understand how that could happen.,

Viking raids often targeted churches because the artifacts and ritual objects within were valuable - gold, silver, incenses etc. When tribal leadership or kings converted it was common to destroy pagan shrines though there is little evidence that Norse or Celtic pagans had "temples" that we think of, like the Romans had. You're right about Christian monks being the main transmitter of most Pagan lore - including Plato and Socrates, the Havamal, Gilgamesh and everything else we read today.

There are more written evidences for Indians and Iranians to be Aryans than for Europeans like the Vedas and the Avesta!
Fact is that all People from Indo European speaking Countries have the same Aryan Background. Yes Indians and Iranians have mixed with the local living People (Dravidians in India and Elamites in Iran) but this has happened in Europe, too! And throughout of history everyone got mixed with something else! Scientist believe that the Aryan Homeland was north from the Black Sea and from there a big Exodus began. Some went west and became the modern day Europeans and some went East and became the Indo-Iranians.
In the end of the day we are all one, we are Homo Sapiens, the last survived species of the race Homo. All others went extinct like the Homo Neanderthalensis. (well some Neanderthal DNA is still in us)

The reason why Nordic myths are known today is because Christian monks wrote them down. The pagan norse barely wrote anything down. The knowledge about norse religion might very well have died out if it wasn't for the Church. Also, the Vikings destroyed tons of Christian churches and monasteries. I don't know of any widespread effort of Christians destroyed Germanic temples. Could you fill me in on that? I'm willing to learn if you know any details on that.

Christianity did what everywhere? Please be clear. Depending on what you mean, you may be right. But I don't know what you're talking about exactly. The atrocities in Latin America by Christians were largely in response to Native aggression against European colonists (who were initially welcomed by Natives but then were turned against). And despite any great faults by Christians, the natives generally were far worse (human sacrifice, cannibalism, etc.). What about Eleusis and Hawaii?

Well that is not enrierly true, most of what we know today about their religous belifes and legends actully comes from icelandic poetry, among others Njals saga and Eddan. Those are not entierly reliable, as they were written in the eleventh century, 150 years after the viking age had ended. As for the christians, they did destroy a lot of nordic tempels though it should be noted that most of those christians were converted vikings.
