Français d’origine italo-algérienne Hakimakli a grandi dans l’agglomération lyonnaise. bercé depuis son plus jeune âge par la musique que sa mère écoutait, il a des racines funk, new-jack et dance. Il commence à composer dès l’age de 14 ans et monte à Paris pour percer dans la musique peu après la naissance de son fils à 16 ans. A l’age de 18 ans, Hakimakli rejoint la célèbre radio parisienne FG où il exerce la fonction de directeur artistique chargé des jeunes talents. C’est ainsi qu’il découvre entre autres David Vendetta Stephan Evans et Dim Chris auxquels il offre une résidence sur FG qui on t permis de lancer ces artistes. Sa fonction s’étoffe ensuite avec la charge de la programmation musicale de la station. Très vite, il lance l’émission RnB Chic et permet à DJ Abdel, DJ Kim Goldfingers, Posska et des jeunes talents comme Saïd & NassR et DJ Snake de rencontrer un nouveau public. Il repère Amine et lance le premier en radio “Sobri”, hit de l’été 2003 en radio. En 2007 Hakimakli lance sa propre webradio FG Dance, qui figure parmi les meilleures audiences au sein du bouquet radioFG.com, laquelle devient une émission quotidienne en 2008. Funkermann et Jesse Garcia seront signés sur le label ClubRevolution dont Hakimakli est directeur artistique. Son 1er single, Dollaly marque un tournant dans sa carrière: le titre connaît un succès immédiat et devient le générique du film Astérix aux JO. Hakimakli rejoint le cercle très fermé des producteurs français impliqués dans la filière cinématographique. Producteur et remixer, les maisons de disques le sollicitent pour revisiter les titres de leurs artistes pop ou hiphop, afin de leur offrir une audience plus large auprès du public dance. C’est ainsi qu’il a remixé Nous Deux de Clara Morgane qui a relancé le single . Le clip dans lequel il figure avec Clara Morgane a été vu plusieurs centaines de milliers de fois. Son remix de Tunisiano “Equivoque” a marqué les esprits, et ouvert le public électro à cet artiste. Son nouveau single “DillyDally” a permis à Hakimakli de se produire en live à des évènements prestigieux tels que la Fête de la Musique au Ministère des Affaires Parlementaires à l’initiative de Roger Karoutchi et Fadela Amara, secrétaire d’Etat chargée de la Ville, en la présence de Christine Albanel, ministre de la Culture. Mais aussi le célèbre Podium FG le 29 juin Place de la Bastille, devant plus de 300.000 personnes, le Mix Club Montparnasse et à la soirée Bleue sur le Vieux Port à Marseille à l’initative du Maire devant près de 30.000 personnes. Les racines d’Hakimakli sont à son image, métissées et éclectiques. Il a un son unique qui mêle musique électro et urbaine. Il a conçu fin 2007 la première compilation RnB chic FG. Son album est en cours de finalisation, et attendu pour début 2009. Il sera intégralement interprété par sa chanteuse Jamie Shephard. Compilé dans près de 10 compilations avec ses titres, Hakimakli a notamment figuré sur les compilations cultes DanceFloor FG et Unighted by Cathy Guetta.
