Finally a “list” video that provides some genuine mystery. It was interesting to listen to the narrator to find the proper vocabulary to describe some aspect of one of the creatures on the list, then finally opting for silence. I could watch hours of videos like this, where there are limits to descriptors for phenomena shown onscreen. Very cool.

The furry dolphin has already been identified. It was a beaked whale, a rare type of dolphin relative. The "fur" is common to carcasses of sharks and cetaceans. It's the connective tissue under the skin that is exposed as the body rots.

@Tony Hall I lived on the thousand islands for 24 years. I've had my diving license since I was 12. I would go diving on a daily basis. I've never heard of any type of deep sea Greenland shark coming into shallow, warmer water. Unless it was up in the gulf of St. Lawrence. I have heard of Beluga whales coming into the gulf but they never got that far in due to the lack of salt in the water. I have seen some weird shit when diving, but never anything over 5ft in length and those were sturgeon lurking around ship wrecks. How far up in the St Lawrence were you? I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying it would be very odd for a Greenland to end up in the St. Lawrence considering they live in ice cold water and at massive depths.

I could watch the clip of the shark/giant whale creature over and over. Just knowing something is out there that huge and powerful is really awe inspiring. I've always instinctively been afraid of the ocean. There are terrors in the deep that lurk beyond the pressures most subs can take. Unimaginable monstrosities. Or at least my imagination thinks so. Whatever, it just frightens me. We can't swim fast and can't breathe water so this would obviously be a horrible death

That Sleeper shark is incredibly massive. I wish there was more footage. That thing must be hundreds of years old and many thousands of pounds. I've never seen any Greenland or Pacific Sleeper shark anywhere near that big on video.

Those trackers draw all sorts of unwanted attention. Sharks can be attracted by the electric signals, and cleaner fish that normally pick of parasites can tear them off. My guess is something bit the tracker off along with part of the fin.

@Zoe Inkerman hey did not go underwater with equipment, they had to swim the distance of a whole mile and the drop-off point was two miles deep of water.
The water was two miles deep and they had to swim a mile to the sand, no diving took place so no decompression or equipment is needed, they just swam with their head above the water- like you do in a swimming pool.

It’s definitely deteriorated sinew. And the animal itself, Baird’s Beaked Whale, has actually turned up several times on beaches with people jumping to the same conclusion. It is a very strange and large whale that’s seldom seen alive but as soon as a scientist looks at the carcass it’s pretty easy to identify.

It has also been theorized that what ate Alpha, the 9-foot great white, was essentially a giant sea turtle. An author whose name I'm currently blanking on (but who I believe wrote a book called Kronos Rising) has proposed this idea. I found an interview I heard with him a while back to be pretty interesting.

4:17 I’m pretty sure that’s an orca, the teeth look strikingly similar and the skull of a killer whale is actually pretty narrow, and the average size of an orca is 20 to 26 ft long, so it’s not out of the equation for this to be a big orca, the rest of them I have no clue

I grew up on the Atlantic coast and spent my youth on the beach. After many encounters with sea and land creatures over the years, in and around the water, both alive and dead, I developed a deep fear of oceans. I still love the seaside but will not even go ankle deep in the water. One of the animals in the video (I think it was #3) definitely looked like a dead dog. I have found more than one washed up on the shore and this is what they looked like...only I believe the one in the video had not been in the water very long based on how intact it was.

I think the most plausible explanation for " Alpha's " tag temp change and dive was that she lost her tag and it indeen was swallowed by a different sea creature before being expelled and washed up on shore.

The last one, sleepershark as you say, or Greenlandshark as we say. It looks like it's that. We simply don't know how old they can become. But they found some that is 300 years old, and they never stop growing

That last shark is 100% a Greenland shark. They can live extremely long lifetimes so not surprising they can grow to that length

9:50 If you think its a Megalodon that is wishful thinking, but it could either be one hell of a Six-Gill, or it could really just be the one of the larger Sleeper Sharks that don't come out to waltz in front of cameras and say hi. There's a reason these sharks are marked as 'rare'

I'm a creep, more fascinated by the dark side than afraid. As a 7 yo girl, I'd fall asleep as my cousin( who was 10)would scare herself watching Freddy and Jason flicks. One movie was able to scare me, Jaws. I had an awful nightmare, a shark was biting and yanking my arm. I woke up with my fingernails dug into my arm screaming. The dream was so real, I've never had a worst nightmare before or since. It'd be weird if I died by a shark attack in a former life.

But seriously, the interpretation of explore in ocean exploration means going there with robot/camera or human. Most of our ocean is actually nothing, just water. So there's no point of going there, how do we know this, sonar. About those megalodon or big fish, most of it are warm water creature that lives near shore. Probably, you would think they would adapt to become a deep sea creature however, the adaptability of a warm water creature to became a deep sea creature is near impossible, even if they could adapt, they would probably have a complete change to both their looks and life which makes them not as scary. Just like how megalodon evolve to become shark. That's what i know, thanks for reading

Your giant mystery shark is simply a Pacific sleeper shark a relative of the better know Greenland shark. A littel know deep water shark that is almost completely blind from parasitic crustaceans that feed off thier eye tissue. Very interesting sharks, as they are believed to live for hundreds of years. Sleeper sharks are notorious for ripping chunks out of hooked flounder in Alaska's fishing industry. Still a very interesting shark. With not very much know about them.

Recently I was listening to a podcast and the 52 hertz "lone whale" sound was brought up. They commented that scientist have discovered that the recording of the sound was actually sped up...and when listened to at the actual true time measurement, the sound is of tectonic plates rubbing together. It is the exact frequency of this phenomenon. I tried to find the podcast I heard it from (I listen to so many) and I tried to google search it, but couldn't find it, but it does make sense for what it's worth.

As soon as I saw that last video I thought for sure it was a Greenland shark (which is a sleeper shark) they live anywhere from 272 years to sometimes into the 500’s so I don’t think it would b too unlikely for one to get overgrown

6:10 Can't this be an undersea communication packets sent by submarines or devices as such sent by countries for climate/threat detection ? Not an expert on cryptids but being an engineer for certain I can say it might be possible. Not being an expert in waves and communication as a specialization, I cannot differ between a 'Sonar' or standard communication 'pulses' or rhythmic sound sent by such patented devices.

But of course if it's completely off charts and the wave has indeed "no" characteristics of standard signal frequencies ...... then we have encountered a new species.

Initially I was thinking a kind of deep sea gigantism of a school of whales, but a lone one is interesting.

No way the tracker fell off the shark, otherwise it would have floated down at an acceptable rate. Instead it plunged down at high speeds, making it as if something dragged the great white down... 🤔

Something had to have pulled it down, whether it be a larger predator or something else, because if you think about it, how would it have sunk if not eaten or grabbed but somehow miraculously float back up to the surface later and onto shore to be recovered unless another party was involved? It’s “sinking” and it’s return is where it doesn’t add up, too much of a time gap for it to have been sunken for that long

I liked the last story …… it didn’t seem to be a basking shark from my perspective…. It seemed very intelligent … when the camera flash went off it was curious enough to investigate it closed up , that was interesting. It looked very old .
