And let the games begin
Bow to your queen
And I will crown your head
'Cause I can make you every inch a king
Before I do it, tell me
Tell me what's in it for me
I need someone young, willing and able
You need someone old enough to know better
I want you to
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Oh
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Yeah
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Let me be your labor of love
My royal garden needs a hired man
Plant your seed, sow it
My rose's all in your hand
I need someone young, willing and able
You need someone old enough to know better
I want you to
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Oh
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Yeah
Come one
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Oh
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Yeah
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
Do my dirty work
The lyrics to "Dirty Work" by Halestorm are an exploration of a power dynamic between two people in a sexual context, with the woman in the dominant role. The chorus, "Do my dirty work," is a phrase that suggests that the singer is interested in using the other person as a tool for their own pleasure, but the verses add more depth to the story. The line "I can make you every inch a king" suggests that the singer has the ability to elevate their partner, at least temporarily, to a position of power and respect. However, this power dynamic is not equal - the singer is in the position of power, with the other person needing to do what she asks in order to receive any benefits.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of age and experience, with the line "You need someone old enough to know better" implying that the other person is young and naive, while the singer is older and more experienced. The repeated line "Do my dirty work" takes on new meaning in this context - it could be viewed as a request for sexual favor, but it could also refer to the singer's desire for someone else to take care of the less pleasant aspects of their life.

This song is hitting me hard right now. Halestorm and their music ALWAYS seem to have songs to fit how I'm feeling. And being someone who shows her feelings through the music she listens to, Lzzy is always my number one go to when I feel like expressing myself! ā¤ā¤ā¤ Love you guys!!!!
