Or maybe we could stick around
For just one more drink, oh yeah
Get another bottle out
Lets shoot the shit
Sit back down
For just one more drink, oh yeah
All the times that we fucked up
Here's to you, fill the glass
'Cause the last few days have kicked my ass
So lets give 'em hell
Wish everybody well, here's to us, here's to us
Stuck it out this far together
Put our dreams through the shredder
Let's toast 'cause things got better
And everything could change like that
And all these years go by so fast
But nothing lasts forever
Here's to us, here's to love
All the times, that we messed up
Here's to you, fill the glass
'Cause the last few nights have kicked my ass
If they give ya hell
Tell em to go fuck themselves, here's to us, here's to us
Here's to all that we kissed
And to all that we missed
To the biggest mistakes
That we just wouldn't trade
To us breaking up
Without us breaking down
To whatever's comin' our way
Here's to us, here's to love
All the times that we fucked up
Here's to you, fill the glass
'Cause the last few days have kicked my ass
So lets give 'em hell
Wish everybody well
Here's to us, here's to love
All the times, that we messed up
Here's to you, fill the glass
'Cause the last few nights have kicked my ass
If they give ya hell
Tell em to go fuck themselves, here's to us, here's to us (Go fuck themselves)
Here's to us, here's to us
Here's to us, here's to us
Here's to us, here's to love
Here's to us, wish everybody well
Here's to us, here's to love
Here's to us, here's to us
The song "Here's to Us" by Halestorm is a celebration of perseverance and shared experiences. The opening lines of the song suggest that the party is over and it's time to go home, but the group wants to stick around for "just one more drink." The lyrics become more significant as the song progresses, celebrating the group's togetherness and the hard times they've overcome.
The chorus repeats the phrase "here's to us," with the lines "here's to love," "all the times that we messed up," and "fill the glass, 'cause the last few days have kicked my ass." The song acknowledges that life is difficult, that everyone makes mistakes, and that it's important to celebrate the good times with the people who matter most.
The bridge dives deeper into the band's collective story, with lines referencing putting their dreams through the shredder, but still being together after all these years. The song acknowledges that life is complicated, but that nothing lasts forever, so it's important to enjoy the moment while you can.
Overall, "Here's to Us" is an anthemic celebration of life's struggles, and the love and togetherness that help us overcome them.
