Found someone who completes me
I'm in love with somebody, oh yeah (oh yeah)
And it's not you
Read my finger, whatcha gonna do?
See these lips are all done talkin' to you
I don't mean to bruise your ego
I don't see your name on my tattoo
Hope you understand, it's been a long time coming
It's for the best, no offense
I'm in love with somebody
Found someone who completes me
I'm in love with somebody, oh yeah (oh yeah)
And it's not you
I know who you think you are
Sorry I've turned you on but I'm kissin' you off
Your lines are whiskey and cigarettes
They're not enough to make me forget
I've got someone who has raised the bar
I've heard it all before, stop spinnin' your wheels
Show you the door, no hard feelings
I'm in love with somebody
Found someone who completes me
I'm in love with somebody, oh yeah (oh yeah)
And it's not you
You've probably never been shot down before
You've probably never been shot down before
I'll try and make it easier
I'm in love with somebody
Found someone who completes me
I'm in love with somebody, oh yeah (Oh yeah)
And it's not you
It's not you
It's not you, yeah
The lyrics of the song "It's Not You" by Halestorm describe the experience of falling in love with someone new and leaving behind someone who has been present in the singer's life for a long time. The opening verse reveals the singer's positive experience with a new love interest, while making it clear that this newfound love is not directed towards the person they are leaving behind. The chorus of the song reassures this fact, that the singer is happily in love with someone else who makes them feel complete.
The bridge section of the song delineates the reasons why the singer is leaving behind the previous relationship. While dismissing any offense caused, they state that they have been thinking about this decision for a long time and believe that it is for the best. The rest of the song acts as a rejection to the rejected partner, dismissing their advances with the statement that they belong to someone else now. The last two lines attempt to tone down the rejection by suggesting that the singer understands that this is new for the other person and they will make it easier for them however they can.
Overall, the song is an honest and straightforward declaration of finding love elsewhere, while acknowledging that it may be a tough pill to swallow for the ex-partner. The lyrics themselves are assertive and confident, indicating that the singer has found what they were looking for in their new love interest.

@MuggleKarp
Alright, I NEVER comment on videos but I have to say.. If you get a chance to see Halestorm live, GO! They were amazing. She is such a vocal powerhouse and really lets loose live, she came out acapella and stunned the whole crowd. They weren't even the headliner, but they should've been. Love that chick.
@lacuna17
i love how this has kind of an 80's sound but it's modern enough not to sound outdated. about fucking time we had a woman back on guitar not afraid to ROCK!
@RedShadowRage
Check out their song Like it Heavy. If you think this has an 80s feel, oof, that one is gold.
@runeshark22
i love how Lzzy is the rhythm guitarist and she plays the heavy ones, explorer, LP, flying V, while their lead guitarist plays lightweights, SG, telecaster, etc.
@madmartigan4077
***** I'm glad she isn't the lead player. Would have been too much to take. :D
