Halestorm Lyrics

This world that spins around me
Used to make me dizzy
And I'm so tired of
These boys that hang around me
Used to drive me crazy
A little mayhem never hurt anyone
A little bedlam 'til I'm coming undone
Where am I gonna get some
A little mayhem never hurt anyone
How am I gonna get some, get some, get some
A little bedlam 'til I'm coming undone
How am I gonna get some, get some, get some, oh
Grueling tensions
Want me in a spiral
I'm waiting to unravel
Twisted motives
Drive me in a circle
I'm dying to untangle
A little mayhem never hurt anyone
When am I gonna get some
A little bedlam 'til I'm coming undone
Where am I gonna get some
A little mayhem never hurt anyone
How am I gonna get some, get some, get some
A little bedlam 'til I'm coming undone
How am I gonna get some, get some, get some, oh, oh, oh
I wanna feel the rave house
I wanna hear the uproar
A little pandemonium
I know I'm not the only one
I wanna be thrown away
I wanna feel the walls shake
I wanna feel the walls shake
I wanna feel the walls shakin', shakin', shakin', shakin'
One, two, three, four, oh
Looking for some mayhem
Need a little mayhem
Need a little mayhem
Looking for some mayhem
Looking for some mayhem, yeah, yeah
Need a little mayhem
Want to hear some mayhem, yeah
The lyrics to Halestorm's song "Mayhem" express the singer's dissatisfaction with her mundane life and the people in it. She is bored with the world around her, which used to excite her but now leaves her feeling dizzy and tired. The boys that hang around her used to drive her crazy, but now they only serve to make her more dissatisfied. She craves a little mayhem and bedlam, something to shake up her life and make her feel alive again. The tension she feels is like a spiral, and she is waiting to unravel it. She wants to break free from her twisted motives and the circle they have her trapped in.
The chorus repeats the longing for a little mayhem, bedlam, and pandemonium. She wants to feel the walls shake and hear the uproar of a rave house. The singer knows that she is not the only one who craves this kind of chaos. The final verse repeats the desire for mayhem and expresses the idea that the singer is actively looking for it.
Overall, the lyrics of "Mayhem" convey the idea that sometimes people need a little chaos in their lives. The mundane and predictable can become suffocating and mundane, and we need something to shake us out of it. The song is a call to embrace that chaos, to seek it out and revel in it.

You know that feeling when you hear about the band for the first time AND THEY BLOW YOU AWAY? Well, that's how i feel. This girl is one of the best singers i've heard in a while, female version of Dave Grohl if you ask me. Love it!
@danmart449
do you mean woman version of dave grohl
@voltaspeeder17
lmao, yeah bro. Nice typo i did there :)
@MrChristianDT
That's because her & Dave Grohl grew up in the same generation in the same part of the country. Grohl is from the Mahoning Valley in Ohio & Lizzy Hale is right across the border in PA.
