You like it loud
Come alive in the middle of a crowd
You wanna scream
You wanna shout
Get excited when the lights go down
At the rock show
Heart and soul, they both know
It’s where you gotta be
Little girl, there you are
All the lighters looking just like stars
Sing along, feel the sound
Take a ride on the hands of the crowd
Here it comes, the moment when
You know you’ll never be the same again
Power chord, see the light
You found your place in the world tonight
At the rock show
You'll be right in the front row
Heart and soul, they both know
It's where we gotta be
Yeah at the rock show
Getting high on the solo
So what if it’s crazy?
That's gonna be me
This goes out to anyone one
Who's heart beats like a kick drum
When a bitchin' riff comes
Knows the words to every line, every time
And you know you gotta go get some, get pumped
Find yourself and lose it
At the rock show
I'm lookin' at the front row
Heart and soul, we both know
It's where we gotta be
Yeah at the rock show
We're reaching for the high notes
Don't matter if we're crazy
You're coming with me
You're coming with me
You're coming with me
So what if it’s crazy?
It’s where we gotta be
At the rock show
The song "Rock Show" by Halestorm is an uptempo rock anthem that celebrates being immersed in the energy of a live concert. It begins with the singer addressing a "little girl" who likes it loud and thrives in the midst of a crowd. She encourages the girl to scream and shout and feel alive when the stage lights go down. The chorus then declares that the rock show is where this girl needs to be- in the front row, heart and soul.
The second verse continues the theme of being caught up in the moment at a concert. The singer observes the lighters held up by the audience and tells the girl to sing along and feel the sound. She acknowledges that this experience will change the girl forever, as the power of the music and the unity of the crowd become a defining part of her identity. The chorus repeats, confirming that being at the rock show is where both the singer and the girl need to be.
The bridge of the song expands the message to anyone who loves rock music and feels their heart beat like a kick drum when a powerful riff comes on. The lyrics acknowledge the passion and dedication of fans who know every word and want to experience the high of being in the front row. The final chorus encourages listeners to come along for the ride and embrace the "crazy" energy of a rock concert as the ultimate destination.
