Loren’s debut release of eleven original songs and one cover (Joni Mitchell's "River"), Full Circle, was released in 2006.
Her sophomore album, They Oughta Write a Song (2008), brought to light her life-long love of jazz standards, and subsequently won a national independent music award for best vocal jazz album, and soon after received distribution in Asia by JVC/Victor Entertainment and in North America by Justin Time Records.
Her holiday album with pianist Matt Treder, Many Times, Many Ways: a Holiday Collection, also recorded in 2008, was first released in limited edition, then followed with worldwide distribution in 2011.
Her fourth CD, the live album Stages (2010), was met with critical praise, including being named as an Editor’s Pick at CD Baby and “best live album of the year” at Wildy’s World.
After Dark followed in 2010, with the Loren original Thirsty winning the Independent Music Awards’ Vox Pop poll for best jazz song of the year.
The concoction of jazz standards, re-imagined pop classics, and originals that made up 2012’s Heart First was honored by Japan’s Jazz Critique magazine as the "best vocal jazz album of 2011". Fly Me to the Moon, a bonus track, spent three weeks at No. 1 on the iTunes Japan jazz chart. It was among the top 10 jazz CDs in Hot New Releases at Amazon in the U.S. and Canada, and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Canada jazz albums chart.
For the past three years she has traveled the world with the members of her original band, including Canada, across the U.S., Japan, Italy, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea, and include big band/symphonic performances with the Jazz Orchestra of Sicily, the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra in Oregon, and the Monroe Symphony in Louisiana.
The year 2013 brought Halie Loren’s Simply Love, with three new originals and ten re-imagined classics from contrasting eras of the American songbook. It rose to the top of the Japan charts in pop and jazz even before its June release date, and claimed No. 1 in its first week and by its third week, climbed to No. 1 spot on Billboard Jazz / Japan. Singles included the string-infused original Cuando Bailamos, Carole King’s 1974 B-side hit I Feel the Earth Move, and the title track, which Loren co-wrote with Benita Hill.
Simply Love was released in the U.S. and Canada by Justin Time Records on Sept. 10, 2013, entering iTunes Canada as #1 jazz album. She and her band are touring the US and other parts of the world in support of the album.

Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bear
You give me fever when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever in the morning
Sun lights up the daytime
And the moon she lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
And you know I'm gonna treat you right
You give me fever when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever in the morning
Fever all through the night
Everybody's get the fever
That is something we all know
Fever isn't such a new thing
Fever started long ago
Romeo loved Juliet
And then Juliet she felt the same
When he put his arms around her
He said oh Julie baby you're my flame
Thou give us fever when we kisseth
Fever with my flaming youth
Fever oh I'm a fire
Fever yea I burn for sooth'
Mmm-n Mnn-n Mnn-n Mnn
Captain Smith and Pocahantas
Well you Know they had a very very mad affair
When her daddy tried to kill him
She said oh Daddy NO! Don't you dare
He gives me fever with his kisses
Fever when he holds me tight
Fever oh I'm his misses
Daddy, won't you treat him right
Daddy Daddy, won't you treat him right
Now you've listened to my story
Here's the point that I've made
Chicks were born to give you fever
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade
They give you fever when you kiss them
Fever if you live and learn
Fever till you sizzle
What a lovely way to burn
Oh what a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
The lyrics to the song "Fever" by Halie Loren are about the physical and emotional sensations of falling in love. The singer expresses how much they love and care about their partner, and how their partner's touch makes them feel feverish, both physically and emotionally. They acknowledge that this feeling of love and desire is not a new thing, but has been present in human relationships for a long time. The song mentions Romeo and Juliet, as well as the affair between Captain Smith and Pocahontas, both of which resulted in intense feelings of passion and feverish desire.
The lyrics are full of metaphors and comparisons to the physical sensation of fever, which can be interpreted in a few different ways. The singer is suggesting that love is like a fever that takes over the body, and that the intensity of that feeling can be overwhelming. Additionally, fever is often associated with illness and discomfort, which could be interpreted as the negative side effects of love and passion, such as heartbreak or jealousy. Overall, the lyrics to "Fever" are a romantic and sensual depiction of falling in love, but also acknowledge the complexity and intensity of those emotions.
