Call Back Tomorrow
Handsome Poets Lyrics

All the city is flashing by
On the phone it's a messenger
But I never wanna say goodbye
Floating on the side walk
Is this the right side of the street
???????????????????????????
Let it be Let it be, let it go let it go
Let it fly, on it's own
There are many things to say,
But I am satisfied today,
Call back tomorrow
Hear the sweetness in your voice,
But I don't really have a choice,
Call back tomorrow
??????????????????????
Right outside my door
He is coming with a new plan
But I've heard it all before
Let it be Let it be, let it go let it go
Let it fly, on it's own
There are many things to say,
But I am satisfied today,
Call back tomorrow
Hear the sweetness in your voice,
But I don't really have a choice,
Call back tomorrow
On the other side
Breathes my natural high
No need to put up a fight
Got a castle in the sky
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
I think I've had enough
There are many things to say,
But I am satisfied today,
Call back tomorrow
Hear the sweetness in your voice,
But I don't really have a choice,
Call back tomorrow
The song "Call Back Tomorrow" by Handsome Poets is about the complexity of modern life and communication. The song's lyrics contrast the fast-paced nature of city life with a desire to slow down and connect more deeply with others. The opening lines of the song liken the singer's experience of life to that of a passenger on a journey, watching the world flash by. The phone call is described as a messenger, evoking the idea of a disconnect between digital communication and face-to-face interaction. Despite this disconnect, the singer doesn't want to say goodbye, suggesting an underlying desire for connection and intimacy.
The rest of the song speaks to the singer's struggle to navigate the complexities of modern life. The lyrics "Floating on the sidewalk, is this the right side of the street?" suggest a sense of disorientation or confusion. It's unclear what the missing lyrics are, but they could shed more light on the singer's state of mind. The repeated chorus of "Let it be, let it go, let it fly on its own" could be interpreted in many ways, but one possible meaning is a call to release control and allow things to unfold naturally. The bridge of the song shifts to a more positive tone, suggesting that there is hope for a better future. The "natural high" and "castle in the sky" could represent a sense of inner peace or a connection to something greater than oneself.
Overall, "Call Back Tomorrow" is a thoughtful and introspective song that explores themes of connection, communication, and finding meaning in a fast-paced world.
