Spider Pig, Spider Pig
Does whatever a Spider Pig does
Can he swing from a web?
No he can't, he's a pig.
Look out! He is a Spider Pig

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Hans Zimmer's song Spider Pig are taken from the popular animated movie franchise, The Simpsons. The song's lyrics refer to the character of Homer Simpson's pet pig, who becomes mutated after being exposed to a combination of both the Spider and Homer's DNA. The resulting mutation, known as Spider Pig or "Harry Plopper," gains the abilities of a spider, including climbing walls, super strength, and other abilities.

The first three lyrics "Spider Pig, Spider Pig, Does whatever a Spider Pig does" are a direct reference to the classic Spiderman theme song. The line "Can he swing from a web? No, he can't, he's a pig" is a nod to the original Spiderman comic, where Spiderman uses his web-slinging abilities to swing across the city. The final line, “Look out! He is a Spider Pig,” is a warning to others to be cautious when interacting with the mutated animal.
