The beginning of this song is your “inception”, being born. And as the song ends it is accepting death and moving towards the light, then it’s over. I just finished watching Inception again and now that i'm older I really see how emotional the ending is. It didn't affect me as much back when I first saw the movie but now that i'm at an age where most people have kids, I felt something twinge in my heart when I saw his kids finally turn around and look at him. I've had the pleasure of hearing, and performing in, some orchestras. Not all orchestral music has this cinematic quality/style, but when you do go, I'd encourage you to close your eyes and imagine what kind of scene might be unfolding before you, if there were imagery with the music. IMO orchestral music is to modern songwriting as novels are to movies; here there be freedom to imagine.
