she's got time
Hanson Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

She caught my eye with the moves she makes,
She knew I meant to make her mine
'cause' there'll be heat in this seduction
I didn't read between the lines

She's got time to lose your mind

I know her looks are meant to kill
That is not what she realized
Her wits so sharp, so shrill
She'll bang you slowly with her mind

She's got time to blow your mind

Chorus: She'll keep on making it rough
Gotta get up, she can't stop
Getting it tough, she'll keep spinning you around (round, round)
She'll keep on making it rough
Gotta get up, she can't stop
Getting it tough, you'll keep banging em' down (down, down)

She says the words you want to hear
She's been rehearsing every line
The love you need to have to lead me
Forget your moves, she'll rob you blind

She's got time to lose your mind

Her body moves to gain corruption
Her tender touch like none before
Feel that twist so deep seduction
To steal that halo off your door

She's got time to lose your mind

Chorus: She'll keep on making it rough
Gotta get up, she can't stop
Getting it tough, she'll keep spinning you around(round, round)
She'll keep on making it rough
Gotta get up, she can't stop
Getting it tough, you'll keep banging em' down (down, down)

(undestinguishable rap section)

So her looks are meant to kill
That is not what she realized
Her wits so sharp, so shrill
She'll bang you slowly with her mind

She's got time, to blow your mind..

Chorus x3

Overall Meaning

The song "She's Got Time" by Hanson appears to be describing a seductive woman who knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. The lyrics suggest that she is very skilled at manipulating men and that she enjoys the thrill of the chase. While the singer is clearly smitten with her, he also seems to be aware of her manipulative nature, as he mentions that she "will rob you blind" and "bang you slowly with her mind." Despite this, he remains entranced by her and seems to be unable to resist her charms.

The chorus of the song, which is repeated several times throughout, emphasizes the idea that this woman is not going to stop until she gets what she wants. She's going to keep making it rough and spinning you around, no matter what you do. The lyrics also suggest that she has been rehearsing her lines and knows exactly what to say to win over her targets.

Overall, the song paints a picture of a powerful, alluring, and somewhat dangerous woman who is able to wrap men around her finger with ease. While the singer is clearly intrigued by her, there's a sense that he's also a bit wary of her and knows that she's not to be taken lightly.

Pacts with the Devil are a common thread running through Rock Music. With Pagey going so far as to buy Mr Crowley's mansion so he could fully connect with the Source. Which is why he plays a 'Source'erer in TSRtS.

But I myself would go so far as to assert that even Satan himself has his limits. You'd have to do unspeakable things to young children to infuse them with this much wisdom at their prepubescent age.

So yes, I was being quite serious.
Kinda like how Marie Osmond sang about those Paper Roses at age 12.
What does a 12 year old know about romantic love, let alone seeing through a facade to call out 'imitation love'.

My best guess is that both she and them had someone penning the words for them.
And I severely doubt that any young child would choose the Pick of Destiny route. Even Pagey was quite innocent when he was Hanson's age. You can see this when he appeared on the Huw Weldon show at age 13, and the host asked him what he wanted to do with his life. Jimmy's answer? He said he wanted to be a biological researcher so that he could find a cure for cancer.

Countless millions have since died of cancer. But we got Led Zeppelin instead. I'd say that was a fair trade. Heh.

Lyrics:

Oh, Oh
Oh, oh
Oh, yeah

You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You go through all the pain and strife
You turn your back and they're gone so fast
Oh yeah
And they're gone so fast, yeah
Oh so hold on to the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only one's there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care?
Can you tell me who will still care?
Oh, Oh care

Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah
Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah

Say oh yeah
In an mmmbop, gone
Yeah
Yeah

Plant a seed, plant a flower, plant a rose
You can plant any one of those
Keep planting to find out which one grows
It's a secret no one knows
It's a secret no one knows
Oh ohs, no one knows

Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah
Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah

In an mmmbop, gone
In an mmmbop, not there
In an mmmbop, gone
In an mmmbop, not there
Until you lose your hair
Oh, but you don't care
Oh yeah

Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah
Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah

Can you tell me? oh
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me? oh yeah
You say you can but you don't know
Can you tell me? oh (Which flower's going to grow?)
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me? (If it's going to be a daisy or a rose?)
You say you can but you don't know
You say you can but you don't know
You don't know oh
You don't know oh

Mmmbop, du bop
Du bop, du
Yeah
Mmmbop (oh yeah), du bop
Du bop, du
Oh oh

Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du
Yeah
Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du, oh

Mmmbop, ba duba dop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du bop,
Ba dubadop, ba du...

If you realise that they were 11, 13 and 16 years old when this song came out, it's obvious that they were way ahead of their time and super creative.

@samueljohnson2465

And they started writing it at an even younger age.

@abigailcaraballo2623

Real talent

@anotheryoutube4635

If you're an actual musician and you watch this now, it's very clear that they weren't the musicians playing the music on this song.
