Since then, Harisu has branched out into music and acting, among other fields. She has recorded five solo musical albums, switching between techno music and r&b. In 2001, she starred in the film Yellow Hair 2, for which she also recorded the soundtrack. Harisu has also had brief forays into other areas — having danced in a video clip for the group 'Turbo', as well as having written a book/photoessay about herself in 2001.
While in Japan (1997-1998), she had male to female sex reassignment surgery, then On December 12, 2002, the Inchon District Court recognized her as legally female, and she changed her name to Lee Kyung-eun.
In mid-November of 2006, it was reported that Harisu will be marrying her current boyfriend; the wedding will apparently take place in early 2007.

The lyrics of Harisu's song Emotion are about a person pleading to their lover to not forget the emotions and memories they shared together. The first verse talks about how the tears shed in their love and moments shared cannot be forgotten easily. The lines "imi tonaborin ni mamul jabji mothe negeso tonaborin nol jabjimothe" show how the singer is unable to forget their lover's feelings and emotions and they cannot forget their own feelings for their lover as well. They then talk about how they are together in their memories, even if they are apart in reality.
The second verse shows the singer begging their lover to not forget them as they cannot forget their lover, even if they do not love them anymore. The lines "ne gyothul tonajima, jongmal narul tonagaya handamyon jogum do ne gyothe momullo jwo" plead for their lover to hold onto their memory even if they cannot hold onto their love. They then talk about how they can live alone without their lover, even though it will be hard, and that their love will continue to exist even if their lover is not in their life anymore.
