After reprobate broke up in 05 eves would move on to go to college in Lubbock at Texas tech. And then soon came back to El Paso. When he did the two met at the local skate park. Where harris was planning to make a Deftones cover band with some friends. The band was doing well until attendance issues came up. So the group just disbanded and all that was left was just Harris and Eves. So they continued to play together and they formed Harris and the Snail.
Which have had guest musicians such as Mike contributing some vocals, Matt of ‘Reprobate’ on guitar and vocals and currently Eric Chaves of “Ma Band” Contributing vocals and guitar. They now play in Sideways Studios running out of Eves house.

Doesn't mean we're wrong
The world won't end today
If both of us move on
But didn't we have a time?
You can't take that away
We've had a change of mind
That I've been holding on to you
And you've been holding on to me
'Cause neither of us wants to be
The first to say goodbye
And so it goes, we must admit
How we both thought that this was it
Though we couldn't make the pieces fit
You can't say we didn't try
Close the window, pull the shade
Turn the key and lock the door
We'd best forget the plans we made
We don't live here anymore
Maybe somewhere down the line
We'll remember who we were
Another place, another time
Some old feeling starts to stir
But I've been holding on to you
And you've been holding on to me
'Cause neither of us wants to be
The one to say goodbye
And so it goes we've grown apart
Guess you could say we lost a heart
And even though we came up short
You can't say we didn't try
The song "Try" by Harris And The Snails is a soulful reflection on a crumbling relationship. The lyrics acknowledge the fear and reluctance that both parties feel about moving on, while also acknowledging that sometimes things simply don't work out. The line "Just because we're scared doesn't mean we're wrong" speaks to the fact that fear is a natural reaction to change, but it shouldn't prevent us from letting go and moving forward.
The chorus of the song centers around the idea that both individuals are holding onto one another, even if they know deep down that it's time to say goodbye. "I've been holding onto you, and you've been holding onto me, 'cause neither of us wants to be the first to say goodbye." This depicts the fear of being alone or dumping the other person, but slowly they both realize they need to move on.
The lyrics also suggest that the relationship wasn't all bad, and that there were good times that they will remember. "But didn't we have a time? You can't take that away." However, as time goes on, they grow apart and feel the need to close the door on that chapter of their lives.
Overall, "Try" is a poignant reflection on a failed relationship, and the realization that sometimes things just don't work out no matter how much we try.
