With memories by the score
Thinking of the days I spent
With the girl I still adore
So I'm goin' back to see her
Before my days are done
Goin' back to see her in the
Once I had a notion
'Bout this Bajin girl
I put my thoughts in motion
And found my heart in a whirl
So I'm goin' back to see her
Before my days are done
Goin' back to see her in the
Land of the sea and sun
Ever since I left her
Nothing's been the same
Think I'll pull up anchor, yes
Going back an' give her my name
Goin' back to see her
Before my days are done
Goin' back to see her in the
Land of the sea and sun
Yes, I'm goin' back to see her
Before my days are done
Goin' back to see her in the
Land of the sea and sun
The song "Land of the Sea and Sun" by Harry Belafonte is a romantic tale of a man who reminisces about a past love and decides to return to her in the Caribbean island of Barbados. The first verse sets the mood, with the singer sitting alone with memories of his past love, reminiscing about the days they spent together. This is followed by the second verse, where the singer speaks about his initial curiosity about the Bajan girl, putting his thoughts in motion, and eventually finding his heart spinning out of control.
The chorus brings out the main theme of the song, with the singer resolving to return to the "Land of the sea and sun" to see his love before his days are over. The final verse continues with the theme, as the singer thinks about how his life has been empty ever since he left the island without his love. He decides to pull up anchor and go back to Barbados to claim his love and give her his name.
Overall, the lyrics paint a glossy picture of a tropical paradise, where love and passion bloom, and dreams come true. The song harks back to the romantic notions of traveling to faraway lands in search of love and adventure.

The emotion in his voice and the groove is excellent. It fits perfect the lyrics. The emotion can't be too happy.
