Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Well it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
When we finally kiss good-night
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss good-night
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Harry Connick Jr.’s version of “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” is a cheery Christmas song that conveys the warmth of a fireplace and the bitter cold outdoors. The opening verse sets the scene, with the “frightful” weather outside contrasted with the welcoming fireside inside. Since there is no place to go, Connick Jr. invites the snow to fall and snuggle in the warmth of the home. In the second verse, there is no end to the snow in sight, and the mood is jovial, with kernels of corn ready for popping and the lights turned down low.
The song shifts from a hopeful tune to a romantic one in the third verse, where the couple must say good night soon. Despite the storm outside, Harry desires a tight embrace to last all the way home, with the promise that it will keep him warm. The final verse brings the song to a fulfilling conclusion, with Connick Jr. singing that the fire is slowly dying, and he and his partner must bid farewell, but as long as they love each other, they can weather any storm.
