I left her feeling worse
I departed feeling worse off than before I visited her.

I have a more negative outlook after the reading than when I arrived.

And I know more now than I'd find out later
I learned a valuable lesson now, rather than in the future.

I wish I had an easy mind
I desire a clear or tranquil state of mind.

Seems the closer I get
As I get closer to a goal or desire.

The reality differs from what I initially assumed, like water not being wet to the touch.
