Today Haus Arafna is numbered among the protagonists of the so-called "post-industrial" genre. The long creative period from the youthful years till today, has resulted in a multi-layered and extraordinarily varied sound. It would take more than just one or two songs to convey the full extent of Haus Arafna's output.
While the beginnings were stamped with energetic noise-eruptions Mr. and Mrs. Arafna rapidly developed their own unique mix, combining different streams of dark electronic music in an inimitable fashion, resulting in Haus Arafna's outstanding status.
To reinforce this Galakthorrö reanimated the genre-phantom "angst pop", at the same time distinguishing it from the the already belaboured "industrial" tag. However, there is no denying the roots of Haus Arafna: The raw lo-fi sound image, analogue synthesizer sounds, noise rhythms, and tape footage point to the "industrial music" of the 1970s.
In contrast to how things were done back then, Haus Arafna now strives continually to cultivate more and more new experimentation and improvisation, with text and vocals to be developed into innovative inspiring Songs. Over and again, certain pieces produce such levels of energy, that DJs try them out on the dance-floor. That is why Haus Arafna has become known beyond the borders of the Industrial scene, with such club hits as "The Last Dream of Jesus", or "Für Immer".
Haus Arafna do not however make dance music, neither does their work serve as mere entertainment. Haus Arafna considers art as the battlefield of the soul, and steer with their music through the deep morass of the human mind. The inability of people to conquer the negative aspects of life in the community is demonstrated through Haus Arafna's manifold use of symbols, metaphors, and double-entendre. In this way the duo has been able to construct, with the help of their omni-present musical characteristics, a frame for the whole of their artwork, which is also not lacking in graphical identity.

Pain to Love
Haus Arafna Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All these hearts laid down to you
They 'll give a home to a poor and lonely waif
Inner peace will come to you
When the pain turns to love
When the pain turns to love
All heavens mercy brought to you
You don't know it
You don't know it
When you share with the world
You'll disappear in this world
When the pain turns to love
When the pain turns to love
The lyrics to Haus Arafna's song Pain to Love may seem somewhat confusing and open to interpretation at first glance. However, a closer inspection reveals a theme of love, selflessness and inner peace.
The song begins with the lines "All good wishes sent to keep you safe, all these hearts laid down to you." These lines are an expression of good will and concern for the listener's safety. The reference to "all these hearts laid down to you" suggests that many people care deeply about the listener's wellbeing, perhaps even sacrificing their own desires or needs for their sake.
The next lines "They'll give a home to a poor and lonely waif, inner peace will come to you" continue this theme of selflessness and love. The reference to giving a home to a poor and lonely waif suggests that the listener is not alone and has a community of people looking out for them. The phrase "inner peace will come to you" suggests that by receiving this love and support, the listener will find peace within themselves.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "When the pain turns to love" twice, reinforcing the idea that love can transform pain into a positive emotion. The next verse continues with the theme of love and selflessness, with the lines "All the children sing a song for you, all heaven's mercy brought to you." This suggests that even children and angels are expressing their love and support for the listener.
The final lines of the song "You don't know it, you don't know it, when you share with the world, you'll disappear in this world" suggests that by sharing love with others, the listener can transcend their own existence and find fulfillment through selflessness.
Overall, the lyrics to Pain to Love express a message of love, selflessness and inner peace through the use of imagery and poetic language.
