Niggas that's against what I rep, got to war with
Niggas that's against what rep
Niggas that's against what I rep, go to war with
Niggas that's against what I rep

Liquor in your face, word like truth serum
Ear plug where [?] can't hear him
Brave heart, never been a day that I fear em'
Enter two niggas every chance Imma' air em'
Quiet one, play the back, let ya'll yap
Thought it was all rap until his chain got yapped
You cats are soft, we ain't made like that
Made men, how did it get away like that?
I project strength, niggas can't get a red cent
Couple hot shells only thing I let
In the trench, shorty underneath we went
I don't play games Imma' leave that man bitten
With the dillie, go ahead nigga act silly
Wipe your feet off, fore' you step in my city
I'm in tune with, niggas that stand for what I stand for
If not, ya'll know it's motherfucking war

Niggas that's against what I rep, got to war with

Sour water, that trippy stick nigga TAC shit
Morning in the yard, pull up bars trying to stay fit
Gym star, spit it out the mouth, I don't play shit
Real niggas let that heat go, they don't say shit
Repping for the hood since the nigga was a team
D-BLOCK, now I'm with my niggas out in Queens, heat cock
Havoc point them out and Imma' pop
And we gonna keep getting money nigga, non-stop

Overall Meaning

The song "What I Rep" by Havoc featuring Sheek Louch is about representing one's roots and standing up for what one believes in. This is made clear in the repeating chorus, "Niggas that's against what I rep, gotta war with / Niggas that's against what rep / Niggas that's against what I rep, go to war with / Niggas that's against what I rep." Through this repetition, the message is reinforced that anyone who tries to stand in the way of what they represent will face the consequences.

Throughout the verses, the two rappers describe their experiences of living in the streets and how they have had to fight to survive. One line that stands out is "Liquor in your face, word like truth serum," indicating that alcohol can reveal a person's true intentions. They also talk about violence, with lines like "Enter two niggas every chance Imma' air em'" and "With the dillie, go ahead nigga act silly." This depiction of aggression and retaliation is consistent with the overall theme of the song.

Overall, "What I Rep" is a powerful rap song that emphasizes the importance of standing up for oneself and representing one's community. It portrays a gritty and violent world where only the strongest survive, but also shows the pride and respect that come from representing where you come from.

I'm older than you! lol. Bruh, I know exactly what you mean. I had the first LOX album on tape. I go back with this hip hop shit, lol. Even back then I wasn't fuckin with Sheek. I was a Styles P nigga. It's interesting to see how things turned out. imo niggas were so busy gassin up Kiss they didn't even realize that Styles had a better vocal delivery (for the most part) and was making better songs.

"Can I get a soul clap? Ka-ka-ka-ka!"

@tochiRTA I'm 30 and I'm just saying most people from the streets like rappers like sheek.

@Mike Gauer
You made 2 assumptions, but I'll clarify them for you. I'm not young, unless a man in his 30s is young to you (which it could be - I have no idea how old you are). But I'm definitely not from the streets nor would I want to be. Being from the streets, in terms of doing dirt, has never been a requirement in hip hop.
