The band played independently in Peterborough, Ontario for a few years before they signed with Tooth and Nail Records, largely on the recommendation of Trevor McNevan, the lead singer of fellow Tooth and Nail bands Thousand Foot Krutch and FM Static. My sweet, sweet Madeline
Every time I look into your eyes
I feel like I'm alive
Whenever you're around
You can find me hiding in the crowd
Each time you come to town
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
I try to somehow let you know
That all the way from here to Mexico
You're the one and only girl for me
He-he tu es un, bonjour oui oui
And my tongue gets tied so quick
I get so nervous I'm feeling sick
I turn into the world's worst Romeo
Every time I try to say hello
You're so fine
Been on my mind
Get nervous every time
I see you hop on by
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay I go
I never find the words to let you know
Sometimes you plague my mind a million times
The song "Hello" by Hawk Nelson is a love song about a man who is deeply infatuated with a woman named Madeline. He has a constant presence of her in his mind, no matter where he goes or what he does, he cannot shake her away. The mere thought of her presence fills him with a sense of being alive. He feels shy and nervous around her, and can barely muster the courage to say hello. Though he wants to let her know how he feels about her, every time he tries, he gets tongue-tied and cannot express his feelings. The song captures the struggle of a person, who is in love but cannot express or communicate their emotions to their significant other.
The lyrics of the song "Hello" express the vulnerability and nervousness that often accompanies the first stages of love. The singer is afraid of rejection or saying something wrong that would spoil his chance with his love interest. The lyrics are emotive and relatable, making them resonate with listeners who have found themselves in a similar situation. Overall, the song captures the essence of being in love: the nervousness, the intensity, the joy, the pain, and everything in between.
