Paradox
Hawkwind Lyrics

The story that I'm telling you
Something that you can do
Ask yourself and try to find the answer
See the signs they're always there
But you know you never care
You're always looking for another reason
Try to reach it's not too far
See it as you really are
Ask yourself to try and find the answer
Always, always it's the same thing
Try it, try it, you just can't win
Circles, circles spinning round
People, people always bring you down and down
Round and round you go

My favourite song on this album, just pipping D Rider. Not sure why but this song always evokes a kinda sadness for times gone by, the members of the band no longer with us, and that this was the pinnacle of space rock which for me petered out a couple of albums after Lemmy left the band.

I was extremely fortunate to see the last performance of the Space Ritual - Hammond Civic Center Hammond Indiana. I think it was October '74. They were busted after that show, equipment, everything impounded. Then Lemmy's busted at customs crossing from Detroit to Windsor Canada.
Shit!
The show in Indianapolis is cancelled and it was 10 years before I learned why.
They did return to Indianapolis in May of '75 to play at the Rivoli Theater - Warrior - for (maybe) 300 people. Another awesome show, very small, personal venue.
Hawkwind - 69 to 75 - the best years of my life.

This music is REALLY heavy and fucking incredible

I came from r/Megaman. This sounds like Wily Stage 1 and I love it

The Urban Nerd

This song has to been a minor ancestor to thrash metal. Talking about ones troubles, habits, and falling back into the same routine with the clashing soind of the instruments yet can still be made out harmoniously. Truly great album.

Awesome bass line...

Hale Bopp
