Early life
Haystak was born to teenage parents, raised by his grandmother, and grew up in the poorest environment. As he got older, Haystak began engaging in a life of crime. But all that ended after being arrested on charges of drug possession at the age of 15.[citation needed]
Music
Haystak began rapping after being released two years later, but no one gave him the chance to prove himself. So Haystak took a daring chance and joined a local label called Street Flava Records and producers Kevin Grisham and Sonny Paradise. They produced his debut album, Mak Million, in 1998. With his description of the southern way of life from a white boy's point of view, Haystak won the respect of his peers in the underground rap scene and was recognized by the people of Nashville, both white and black. Two years later, Car Fulla White Boys came out with many fans waiting eagerly. With his success, Koch Records signed Haystak and rereleased Car Fulla White Boys that same year. In 2002, Haystak's third album, The Natural, was released on Koch. Since then, Haystak's fame has grown greatly, and he even played a small role in the 2005 film Hustle and Flow.

What I need's a prepaid phone and a spot on the low
Time to get it poppin and half an O
Two or three hours and that's a O
Three or four days and that's a whole kilo
And that's a worst case scenario
When music doesn't do it for ya boy no more
I gotta family to feed, I'ma get that dough
Digital sales gon make me touch a couple pies
Watch how quick I make this money multiply
By Friday, I'ma have it turned into five
Once I start I can't stop, it becomes my life
God forbid I see my scans dropping
Cause that's when you can catch me in Miami shopping
Not for Gucci or for Louis
I'm shopping for that good shit, so white it got that pink tint
I bring it back to the Ville,
Chop it down, Paul Bunyan
I gotta make the most this time, it's all onions
But when I come back, you can get you a eighth
And the time after that, you can get you a cake
And the next time, (haha) you can get ten
Word around church, I'm back slidin again
Though I feel as though I'm a recovered man
Times get hard, it's duffle bags and rubber bands
What I need's a prepaid phone and a spot on the low
Time to get it poppin and half an O
Two or three hours and that's a O
Three or four days and that's a whole kilo
And that's a worst case scenario
When music doesn't do it for ya boy no more
That's a worst case scenario
I gotta family to feed, I'ma get that dough
Being me, you see a lot of broken dreams
Prom queens, turned into fuckin fiends
Young dudes introduced, start using it
First just socially, then they start abusing it
I never liked the white, but I'ma junkie for a purp high
Five hundred a zip, smokin weed at a cold price
Livin life so nice
Lookin at possessions, with no regard for the price
(Where they doin that at)
Let me get a five year run, truckin some Colombian
So I can show you younguns how hustlin should be done
Move some in Huntsville, some in Mobile
But ya couldn't buy crumb from me in Nashville
Crazy thing, I go to church on Sunday
Pay tithes that I made with my drug money
Repentin as I sin, God forgive me
And if I turn around, keep walkin with me
Amen
Amen
Amen
Amen
What I need's a prepaid phone and a spot on the low

That's a worst case scenario
I gotta family to feed, I'ma get that dough
Struggle's the name of the city I came from
The broken boulevard, ain't much changed
From the time I left, hoes still hoe-in
That's somebody's daughter, hot plates even hotter
Dangerous waters, felt like Nemo
Fought my way out like a big white kimbo
Bond money, lawyer money
Part of the game
Like body bags, bakin soda, throw away things
Champagne, chains, watches, and rings
They never talk about the agony, or the pain
When ya see ya brother on it, when ya see ya mother on it
Get a first hand look at what this shit we movin really doin
Who woulda thought when the O.Gs let crack through
We'd see crack do, what we've seen crack do
Dancin with the devil, playing Russian roulette
With six bullets in that son of a bitch
Haha

The lyrics to Haystak's song Worst Case Scenario reveal the vulnerability and desperation of an artist in the music industry who needs to make money to support his family. The rapper is willing to do whatever it takes to make ends meet, even involving himself in illegal activities. He talks about dealing drugs and how easy it is to make money when music doesn't pay enough. He is candid about his addiction to drugs, particularly purple high, and how it can be expensive. He feels like he has to hustle hard and fast to make as much money as possible from the drug sales. He also talks about how difficult it is to break away from the drug game, confessing that it is a temptation he faces, despite his desire to stay clean.
The chorus of the song "What I need's a prepaid phone and a spot on the low," implies that the rapper doesn't need a studio or a record label to make money, he just needs a prepaid phone and a spot where he can sell drugs without getting caught. The song captures the harsh realities of life, including poverty, addiction, and illegal activities.
