Hey You
He-Art Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You've been down this lonely road
You have kissed the face of sorrow
You have bought what you've been sold
But you still will buy tomorrow

You are one of a kind
You are some kind of find
Hey you

Hey you
Until the heavens and the stars refuse to shine
Hey you
Until the darkness and the light decide to rhyme
Hey you
Until forever and a day run out of time
Hey you

I swear by my September stars
I will go where you are going
Forever's never very far
As my love is overflowing

With your cards up in your sleeve
Did you fumble with your keys?
Hey you

Hey you
Until the heavens and the stars refuse to shine
Hey you
Until the darkness and the light decide to rhyme
Hey you
Until forever and a day run out of time
Hey you

Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Hey you

Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Chilly wind and wanderlust
I been out here for so long
Choking on the diamond dust
And the symphony is gone, gone, gone
Are you tangled in the trees?
Did it bring you to your knees?
Have you had enough of me?
Hey you

Hey you
Hey you
Hey you

Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Hey you

Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na

Na na na na na
Hey you

I placed a request. It was denied.

I left my door open and you did not entered. This is beyond my comprehension.

There will never be another Nancy in my life, only you.

I now must go for sure.

Take care sweetheart.

Ann, I love you... You girls know that.

Kisses

Beautiful song.  Love it when Nancy sings lead vocals.

Nancy Wilson is angelic in every way: playing ability, vocal talent, style, beauty and class. Love this woman!

What a lovely song! I've lost count of how many times I've fallen in love with Nancy in the last 40 years. I doubt this will be the last time, either... Bravo to a talented and beautiful lady, her sister, and the band!

I was at the EMP show for this performance. It was the first time I heard it and I was immediately taken aback. I think Nancy penned a gorgeous song here, and her voice is so angelic. Before "Red Velvet Car" came out I was hoping for a great Nancy song, and she definitely came through with this and "Sunflower." Nancy rocks!!!!

This is my first time hearing this tonight and it makes me want to cry because I love it so much. You sound awesome, Nancy. And of course you do too, Ann. Y'all are my world. Thank You for that world.

Rovin Nomire

Its tough to get noticed for your vocal prowess when your sister's the greatest female rock vocalist of all time. But Nancy more than holds her own, once again. They are the perfect complement to each other.

Slant Six

Both sisters are so blessed with musical talent.
