Look me in the eyes there's something to regret
We have made choices that we now regret, and we must face the consequences of those choices.

We don't know how to go ahead
We are lost and unsure of how to move forward in the face of the overwhelming amount of negative news and events.

Close the door to keep out the light
We are trying to escape from the harsh reality of the world by shutting ourselves off from it.

Don't deny yourself this simple right
Despite our desire to hide from the world, we must not deny ourselves the right to see the truth and face the hard realities.

Something in the air, something we don't know
There is a sense of unease and apprehension in the world that we cannot explain, but which we feel deeply.

Is is just a shelter to hide us from the flow?
We wonder if our attempts to shield ourselves from the world are actually just preventing us from understanding and influencing the course of events around us.

Just for a moment, we let the children die
We have become so desensitized to the suffering around us that we are willing to let children die without fully comprehending the horror and tragedy of this reality.

If there's a reason, noone knows just why
We cannot explain why such terrible things are allowed to happen, despite our efforts to make sense of them.

Just for a moment we see it on tv
We only witness these tragedies from the safety of our living rooms, and do not truly understand the impact they have on the lives of those affected.

If there's a reason, it's not the one for me
We refuse to accept that these tragedies are part of some greater plan or divine purpose, as it contradicts our own sense of morality and justice.

On and on, the thought goes round in my mind
We cannot shake the sense of dread and helplessness that we feel in the face of these tragedies and world events.

Is this a part of the destiny of mankind?
We question whether humanity is destined for destruction and chaos, or if there is another way forward.

Something's in the air and if we only could take care
We sense that there is a way to prevent these tragedies and create a better world, but we are unsure of how to do so.

A thousand questions and we need to be aware
We must ask questions and seek answers to understand the world around us, rather than simply accepting what we are told by the media and society.

Take the easy way cause noone's got to know
We are tempted to ignore the world's problems and take the easy path of ignorance, especially since it seems that no one is truly held accountable for the world's ills.

Are we too gutless to revolt against the flow?
We question whether we are too afraid or complacent to stand up against the forces that perpetuate the world's problems, and make real change happen.
