Move
Heather & Kirsten Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Do I groove you, is it thrillin'
Do I soothe you, tell the truth now
Do I move you, are you loose now
The answer better be (Yes, yes)
That pleases me
Are you ready for this action
Are you hip to what I'm sayin'
If you are then let's start swayin'
The answer better be (Yes, yes)
That pleases me
When I touch you do you quiver
Form your head down to your liver
If you like it let me know it
Don't be psychic or you'll blow it
The answer better be (Yes, yes)
That pleases me
The lyrics to Heather Bishop's song "Do I Move You" can be interpreted as someone trying to gauge their partner's attraction and interest in them. The singer asks a series of questions, including whether they move, groove, and soothe their partner, and whether they are ready for action and satisfaction. The singer also asks if their touch elicits a physical response in their partner.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of urgency and a desire for validation from the partner. The repeated refrain of "The answer better be (Yes, yes) / That pleases me" suggests that the singer is seeking reassurance and affirmation from their partner. The lyrics also suggest a level of confidence and self-assuredness, as the singer does not seem to doubt their own ability to please their partner.
Overall, "Do I Move You" is a playful and flirtatious song that explores themes of attraction, desire, and validation in a relationship.

I can't believe this is on youtube. How funny. Kirsten is still singing. She is brilliant. She has a lot of music on youtube at the moment actually. Her name is Kirsten Wenlock now. I (Heather) am not singing so much these days. I became a high school teacher and now live in Sydney with my family. Still a Wings fan though! Thanks for all the sweet comments everyone :) It was a great ride :)

Heather. My family has watched this video at least 100 times. My 10-year-old daughter also sings both anthems for NHL MLB (Seattle Mariners) NBA. She is also Seattle native.

Awesome! They brought the Red Wings luck back in the day. They should come back and do a game, that would be cool!!

Maybe one day I can bring my family to Detroit for a game. I know it's not the same old Joe Louis Arena (which I loved) but it would be an amazing moment of nostalgia. I am still a Red Wings fan to this day (Kraken are a close second:).
