I observed fighters with immense strength and power exceeding my own abilities.
So I thought perhaps the field was not for me
I questioned whether I belonged on the battlefield due to my perceived lack of strength.
But still I stayed and watched the fighting 'til one figure stood apart
Regardless, I remained to observe the fighting until one particular fighter stood out.
In armour newly fashioned and a helm more pot than art
This fighter wore newly-crafted armor and a helmet that was more functional than aesthetic.
But each blow was thrown with honour and a lightness of the heart
Despite appearances, this fighter gracefully and honorably battled with a joyful spirit.
So I took that step which soon became a start
