That ending is genius; “ut sol” being set in the bass and tenor 2 both to evoke the sun that the Latin text mentions, and to reinforce the perfect fifth, the Guidonian solmization syllables “ut” and “sol”
The entire motet is just as fantastic

I've always found cross-relations in 15th/early 16th century music to be the most exciting parts, and likely more historically informed than to do otherwise, especially considering how overpresent they are in later 16th century music. Case in point is the Dufay Missa l'homme armé, where the cantus is written with B durum (B natural) while the other parts are written with B molle (B flat). There are places where the B in the cantus should obviously be flattened, but not nearly enough to justify what most modern ensembles do, which is flatten almost all of them.

And the clash between the sop 2 and tenor 2 in m. 287 is the cherry on top :) Huelgas's recording shies from it, to my dismay.

A marvel that takes you to paradise. Isaac, Germano-Flemish composer from 1480 to 1494 was at the court of the Medicis in Florence, with Emperor Maxmillian I as patron. A prolific composer, he authored numerous secular and sacred polyphonic works, among which are the song Innsbruck, Ich Muss Dich Lassen (Innsbruck, I must leave you). Thank you for this sublime masterpiece.
