Helen has been interested in DJing and in the club culture since the day she had started visiting clubs and seen DJs at work. But the wish to work in this sphere didn’t come at once. It was expanding gradually under the influence of different circumstances.
Nowadays, Helen Martin plays three-hour sets, she has great DJ skills and unique taste in music. Wherever she performs, her sets are always various and dramatic, dynamic and sensible, and tend to carry a listener away from the beginning throughout the end.
There are always best tracks of modern club sound in her case; each of them takes part in creating fascinating mood on the dancefloor during her performance.
Furthermore, she uses Ableton Live for editing and processing music stuff, creating mash-ups and her own track versions.
At the moment she's entirely overwhelmed by putting her creative projects into practice. On the other hand, she's also constantly improving her DJ skills aiming at ability to present clubbers and music lovers with the best Lives and DJ sets full of essential tracks and mash-ups.
Finally, Helen now feels confident and ready to apply all her knowledge and creative skills in the sphere of production. She’s totally devoured by the process of writing music, and inspired by new ideas, Helen Martin tries to introduce her own vision and style of sound in electronic music. Soon, we’ll have the opportunity to listen to her first tracks made in different genres.
Never
Helen Martin Lyrics

We never have much to say
We never talk much
We do without reparte
We never talk much
You ask what we do all day
We play some records
Discuss a novel
We never walk much
Such crowds in the street below
We never walk much
And where would we want to go
We never walk much
'Cause walkin' fatigues you so
We look at pictures
I work at puzzles
And we just sit around
We planned a lovely day tomorrow
We've thought of everything
We found a canary that we can borrow
And tomorrow we'll sit around and let it sing
We suit each other
We both think the same as one
With one another
Just starin' at walls is fun
I must tell Mother
Her warnings were overdone
Don't know what you do
What is there to do
We just sit around
We suit each other
We both think the same as one
With one another
Just starin' at walls is fun
I must tell Mother
Her warnings were overdone
Don't know what you do
What is there to do
We just sit around, sit around, sit around
The lyrics to Helen Martin's song "Never" portray a couple who seem to be quite content with their quiet and uneventful life together. The repeated phrases throughout the song emphasize their lack of communication and activity, painting a picture of two people who aren't particularly interested in interacting with the outside world or each other. The first verse describes their lack of conversational topics, with "never talk much" being repeated three times to convey just how little they communicate. However, the second line "We do without reparte" hints that they don't necessarily need to say anything to understand each other. The second verse lists a few common pastimes that they enjoy doing together, such as listening to records and discussing novels. Instead of feeling the need to fill the silence with conversation, they are content to just "sit around" and appreciate each other's company.
The couple's lack of physical activity is also highlighted throughout the song. They don't walk much, preferring instead to stay inside and look at pictures or work on puzzles. When they do venture out, they find the crowds outside to be overwhelming and exhausting. The couple seems perfectly content with their sedentary lifestyle, suggesting that they find joy and meaning in simple pleasures rather than chasing after excitement and novelty.
Throughout the song, the lyrics convey a sense of peacefulness and contentment that comes from being in a relationship where both partners understand and accept each other as they are. The chorus reinforces this idea, with the couple reveling in the fact that they suit each other and find joy in just sitting around together. The final lines "Don't know what you do / What is there to do / We just sit around" drive home the idea that their relationship is enough for them, and they don't feel the need to constantly be doing things to enjoy each other's company.

Twitter brought me here just now. RIP Helen Martin. Dropping a helluva lot of gems in this interview. The interviewer was defensive and nonchalant about a lot of things.

I met her on the set of “ I’m Bout it” movie with Master P... I co-stared in that movie as well. She was like 80 some years old, spunky, & nice. And she didn’t judge us back then being in a rap star film. Glad I was able to meet her before she passed.

21:47 has me rolling in laughter. You know Helen was annoyed with this guy when she said, “I have somewhere to go but I’m not mentioning where it is, coz I don’t think it’s anyone’s business”
Skip: Helen?
Helen: What?
