era muy niño cuando vi una peli donde sonó monkey, al paso de los años y gracias a mi familia que desde siempre escuchan multiples estilos musicales volví a escuchar a Peter. y ha sido un viaje....he llorado al escuchar "Come Talk To Me".....cuando vino a mi país por un concierto de amnistía se dijo por acá que quería hacer unos temas de estudio con una banda local llamada "CONGRESO", no sé si sea cierto, pero me dá un orgullo ajeno aunque sea un mito urbano.

So much to love about this video! The song, the performances, the video making etc. But I particularly love the joy exuding from Tony Levin (bass) and David Rhodes (guitar), two long-time collaborators who must have played this song live over 1000 times yet they still bop around like we did as teenagers listening to it the first time around! I remember going to watch the Amnesty Tour at Wembley simply because it was chance to see Bruce Springsteen for a 3rd time that year, after his Tunnel of Love Tour. Bruce headlined that day with a setlist of hits for 1 hour and 30 minutes or so. Anyway, on that day I was totally blown away by Peter Gabriel and that is saying something. Sledgehammer etc but Shock the Monkey with him crawling about the stage, was simply amazing!! An amazing performer.

I had this live DVD when it came out, it was magic. I love all the footage of the AV crew besides the talented artists. I got to see two tours of Peter and friends, including his daughter, Melody. To this day, he puts on the best show of anyone I've seen. It's as if he sat in every seat and asked, "How's the view from here?"

Me and my football team received an impromptu live performance of this song when we were touring the old Wembley Stadium, in what must have been about 1989. While we walked alongside the pitch from one end, workmen were busy installing a stage – you could hear hammers and drills, etc. while our guide was telling us about the pitch’s draining system and so on. Then, that distinctive intro to ‘Sledgehammer’ blared out and we were treated to an impromptu live performance by Peter Gabriel and his band rehearsing this song. They got about a third of the way through it, stopped, then performed the whole song from scratch. Loved it ever since. I also like Morgan James’s take on it; sounds very different from a female perspective.

I saw Tony Levin playing with King Crimson in 1984 on the "Three of a Perfect Pair" tour. "Sleepless" off that album is Tony at his best, IMO.
