A lot of things occur each day
Every day, we are confronted by a lot of things that we have to deal with as we go about our lives.

We've got to live with on our way
We have to accept these things and find a way to keep moving forward despite their impact on us.

There's so much misery on the screen
The media is constantly showing us images of suffering and sadness.

With commercials in between
And in between these images, we are bombarded with advertisements trying to sell us things we don't need.

And the Russians won't be so late
The Russians will not be slow to take action.

Uncle Sam don't want to wait
The US also wants to act, without delay.

No matter if you're black or white
Regardless of your skin color, you are not treated fairly or equitably.

You never ever had a right
You have never truly had the right to live life freely and without oppression.

And look up to the eternal skies
If we look up at the sky, we can see that even the heavens are not immune to war and conflict.

See warfare even there
There is warfare happening even in the skies above us.

What once has been a paradise
The world was once a beautiful, perfect place.

Now destruction and despair
But now it has been ruined by destruction and hopelessness.

In other worlds the children die
In other parts of the world, children are dying due to a lack of food and because of illnesses carried by flies.

Lacking food ill from a fly
These children are suffering due to hunger and disease caused by insects.

Oppressed by troops to tame their land
They are also oppressed by military troops sent to control their land and people.

It's all the same again
This is a repeat of what we have seen throughout history, with powerful forces oppressing and exploiting the weak.

If any man is free on earth
If there is anyone who is truly free in this world,

Then tormentors steal his birth
They are quickly targeted and oppressed by those who seek to dominate and control.

They slam gun butts in his face
They are beaten and abused, with weapons literally slammed into their faces.

And leave his woman choked in mace
Their loved ones are also hurt, with women being sprayed with mace and similarly oppressed.

So stand up for our human rights
It is important for us to fight for our rights as human beings.

Push back this pest of hate
We must resist and reject hate, which can poison our societies.

Raise you voice pass on the light
We should speak out and work to spread truth and knowledge, which can help to overcome darkness.

Unite! it's not too late
It is not too late to come together and work towards positive change.
