(born 20 March 1949 in Holstebro ) is a singer and musician.
Henning Strong started to sing with childhood friend Palle Christensen Thy, but were quickly approached by local Rhythm'n'Blues orchestra Beat Stones. After the debut in Handbjerg hall on 18th September 1965 was renamed the band the Road Runners. Almost a year later, the Road Runners disbanded and several members moved into the city's leading orchestra The Poisons (Henning Strong vocals, harmonica, Johnny Thing Matters Madsen , guitar, Erik Boas Pedersen, bass, JP Jorgensen, drums, Tommy Johansen, rhythm, vocals , sax, Paul "Trikker" Swan, organ), which in 1967 was number two at Børges DM in Pop . The style was now more soul-inspired, and they continued to play to 1969.
With guitarist Johnny Thing Matters Madsen and bassist Erik Pedersen Boas they formed with Strong on drums and vocals in 1969, Chapter Three, who played progressive with lots of improvisations in the style of Cream . Around 1970 they also got Hans Erik Lerchenfeld with the extra guitar. After Madsen, Strong and Lerchenfeld moved to Aarhus disbanded the orchestra, but was resurrected in the new constellation as Jackie Boo Flight . Henning Strong was in Gnags the period 1977-1981, where he played drums, percussion, bass, harmonica and vocals.
Sweetheart
Henning Stærk Lyrics

In some little Texas town
She just looked up from the counter
Surprised that anyone would come around
Just another boring day Out on the Interstate Highway
She said "Hey you guys where are you heading to?
Try some of my Mexican stew!"
She was a sweetheart
If there ever was one
She was a sweetheart
But we were havin' all the fun
I said "If you have the time come and keep us company" She said "Time is the one thing
That always comes plenty to me - by the way are you on your own
Or did you leave someone like someone just left me
She was a sweetheart...
On saturday nights She spent all her time
'Round the wishingwheel
Drinkin' beers Throwing coins and curses On almost anything
But there is one thing I could tell
One night she went to the wheel
Collected the coins and drank up Everybody's dreams
Solo
She said "I was married twicebut we blew it all up!
And now I'm hanging around with the last single man in this town
And if anything is happening anywhere he and I - We'll be the ones to care"
She was a sweetheart...
She was a sweetheart...
Henning Stærk's Sweetheart is a narrative of a man's encounter with a waitress at a truckstop in a small Texas town. The song symbolizes how even in the mundane and ordinary moments of life, we sometimes encounter someone special who leaves an unforgettable impression on us. The lyrics describe how the singer stumbled upon this waitress who had a warm and hospitable personality, a demeanour that was most welcome amidst the monotony of travelling down the interstate highway.
The singer makes small talk with the waitress, who offers them Mexican stew. She asks if they are alone and if they have left someone behind, as she was recently abandoned. The lyrics describe how on Saturday nights, the waitress would drink beer and throw coins at the wishing well, cursing at almost anything. However, one night she collected all the coins and drank up everyone's dreams. The song ends with the singer taking his leave, describing the waitress as a sweetheart who was always fun to be around.
The lyrics, while seemingly simple, are multi-layered and thought-provoking. They offer a glimpse into the lives of people we encounter daily and remind us that each person has their story. Indeed, the waitress - or anyone we meet - could be a sweetheart, a standout amongst the noise and monotony, a ray of light that provides a contrast to our day-to-day routine.

Det er så utroligt mærkeligt, at ingen har haft lyst til at hædre Danmarks bedste countrysanger.....
@janknudsen1463
ja nu du siger det men det kan jo heldigvis nå at ske endnu.... vi har da lov at håbe ;-)
@markandersen4612
Typisk dansk mentalitet, aldrig at hylde nogen, men ja der ikke mange der nogen sinde kan nå hans niveau.
@dennisotte2352
Den eneste jeg har hørt hylde HS flere gange er Hans-Otto Bisgaard. Han har blandt andet kaldt ham en af DKS stærkeste vokaler. Men enig med jeres pointe.
