I actually had a copy with the intended layout, where some of the music actually fit even better. What is in the common version the Barbarian theme, in my version was used for the Necromancer town, which actually fit much better in my opinion.
I do agree that this song here fits the knight best, in my version the knight and wizard were mixed up.
If you ask me, the best distribution would be (according to the songs in the game version where this video fits):
Knight town - Knight theme
Sorceress town - Sorceress theme
Wizard town - Warlock theme
Warlock town - Necromancer theme
Necromancer town - Barbarian theme
Barbarian town - Wizard theme
Unfortunately no game exists with this assignment.

I loved playing this game back when i was younger, and i absolutle love the knight and sorceress themes in the original version but not the castle songs in the expansion.

You know a town theme is done right when it breaks out the organ alongside a professional opera singer. Even if I hated playing as Knight, the town theme, like all of them in the game, was a real blast to listen to.

@SFA Hey, you are welcome. Fun fact: The lyrics are a passage from the bible and in the original context, they describe the heathen's idols (der Heiden Götzen), meaning false gods made of silver and gold. This fits very well with the cathedral and the crusade theme of the Knight Town.
