Более 10 лет прошло и до сих пор, практически в каждой миссии Героев 5 баги. Баги которые на прямую ломают игру... Их много и они разные, но самый идиотский, который меня немножко взбесил...

Я, люблю после каждой миссии , перед её концом, дособирать все предметы на карте... До сих пор, ни в одних Героях, у меня с этим проблем не было... Но в 5тых героях , миссия Сильван( где город дерево). И где нужно ,каких то шаманов в круге дерева убить, я этого сделать не смог... Слишком много спавнится нейтральных мобов... В итоге у меня вся карта в мобах( каждый шаг героя упирается в моба). У меня очень сильный комп, но даже он выдавал 1 фпс, и было бы меньше ,если бы я срочно не закончил эту карту... Это идиотизм.

Кстати о деревьях, идиотский дизайн, мелкие и тонкие, не выглядят на свой уровень и свою мощь, идиотский дизайн. Это улучшенные деревья из 3тьей части, но почему то они меньше и хлюпше... Интуитивно, когда я первый раз с ними встретился было не понятно почему они такие сильные, это проблема дизайна игры.

Но в целом , если бы не баги, 5ка самое достойное продолжение героев, которое я когда либо видел. Но 3ка выигрывает, так ,как самая отполированная игра Героев.

Even now, 14 years on in 2020, I find it difficult to comprehend that such a masterpiece was humbly a town theme. It's epic enough that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was the main theme of Heroes V. Probably my favourite piece from the entire franchise. Thank you for sharing this!

Haven theme really is one of the better tracks for this game. Not only did they incorporate a real life song ( The Christian Church's Dies Irae, a gregorian chant ) but they translated it very well considering Haven's army composition and the faction's medieval/religious theme.

bd3n21 well Bran castle looks like the necro castle a bit ( has some high towers) but the legends around it are spooky , Dracula mostly known.

Да брат, ты прав , скачал 7 серию и был разочарован , от начальной заставки к игре ( ожидал что будет что-то подобное как в 5 части ,- эпичного ролика) Когда зашёл в меню постройки города был ещё более разочарован , ну не мог я поверить,чтоб за столько лет разрабы похерили все то прекрасное что было в 5 части( . The castle is impressively designed. The city itself even feels like its defense structures were taken into account. Two layers of walls, with the main keep having very high structurally, with the main way into the castle incredibly narrow with archer emplacements that would shoot at any enemy forces that would attempt to scale the walls(If they can even be so).

Granted none of this really comes into play in a actual defense, but it feels feasible.

I remember when i played the game for the first time i was completely shocked of how good the graphics and visual design was. So ahead of its time. Some design is still among the best ever: archangels, devils, these guys with scythe in necropolis, implosion spell, towns - my favourite in terms of looks was academy, but all kicked ass. I know h3 is classic but h5 is definitely my favourite - it looks better, sounds more epic and gives much more variety in terms of your build and tactic.

Feature of Russian developers. When they are told to make a fantasy game, they will mix Warcraft, Warhammer, Lord of the Rings and give it a triple dose of epic, grandiosity and fairytale.

The same thing happened when Russian developers started to restart Kings Bounty, it turned out to be an incredibly beautiful and fabulous series of games (except for the second one, it’s so-so)

In our country, in general, there is a great love for the Heroes of Might and Magic and Kings Bounty series of games, so Nival gave it their all when they were entrusted with the honor of making the fifth part. It is a pity that further cooperation did not work out. Take on the heroes of 6 the same Nival, the series would have a different fate, and Nival too ...

@@FamouShinya Ну Нивал еще пятую часть не доделали они хотели выпускать еще одно крупное обновление с расой наг но юбики решили ,что это не стоит денег , да и в целом они несколько поссорились с Нивалами ведь те просрали все сроки и выпуск игры задержался на год. Менеджеры юбисофт тоже сделали много для успеха пятой части но Нивал для них были находкой по сути наши разработчики оказались фанатами серии потому перерабатывали за бесплатно впихивая все ,что можно в игру включая те самые экраны городов но при этом все равно профигарились по срокам и сорвали дедлайны.

It already is style similar to ingame graphics from Warcraft III and WoW, dev clearly were really heavily inspired by Warcraft and pushed Homm V to look similar to it artisticly. They even used assets from Warcraft III during development as placeholders :v

@@Kacpa2 actually the majority of the units' aesthetics seems to be taken directly from Warhammer Fantasy. Haven are literal bretonnians mixed with an Empire, Dungeon is the exact copy of Dark Elven roster (except minotaurs, they are from beastmen) and so on.

I don't get why this game wasn't appreciated more. The gameplay was great, it looked stunning for its time, the music was amazing. It was definitely a great step into modern 3D world for the series...

Because it was a chore and it had absolutely confusing mechanics. In Heroes 3, you can tell what road you can take because mountains, trees, rocks, etc. are clearly shown into the map, where as in Heroes 5 a goddamn hill can stop you in your tracks despite looking like it's not that high compared to the mainland. Don't even get me started on the units and how they take a large chunk on the map in the most awkward way possible (where as in Heroes 3 you always have 7 units and they can be easily surrounded too)...oh and speaking of which, no nagas, no troglodytes, no gorgons, the death knight is a wandering unit instead of an inherent necropolis one, fortress is entirely unrecogniseable, etc. And the graphics looked anything but stunning, if anything, it's the type of graphics you see in a failure released by blizzard.

The music is good tho.

@@SlayerFan961 Anyone with a brain can tell where the roads are. I do miss the death knight, but plenty of the Heroes 3 units weren't very well thought out. Like the entire Fortress faction being a mess of Greek mythology. As or the graphics, HMM5's hold up surprisingly well for being almost 16 years old.

Visually speaking, there really shouldn't be any difference, but there is. It happened to me plenty of times in the CAMPAIGN mode.

The cinematics and soundtrack of this city only has a few equals to me in gaming history, marking iconic moments for me. It's up there with with the likes of walking into Stormwind for the first time in WoW (Vanilla - TBC) or the main menu theme of Halo CE. How I love Heroes 5, it is the game of my childhood, which I like to return to from time to time, even now I play the whole campaign from scratch

As a kid, I really liked infernal beings and demons of Inferno.... than I decided to play the campaign, for some reason, all the heavenly themes and justice really striked me, it totally changed my view of things, and I started maining Haven, i was totally awed by the music and by the statue of Angel when u had your city on max, humanity for the win with heavens on their side, and being overall a fanatic of "Holy" themes in games and literally anywhere now...

it's unbalanced as fuck
3 and 5 are the best in the series, with 4 getting bonus points for sweet music

Did anyone beside me notice that this theme and the Necropolis theme are based on the same notes and tunes? They are the same thing, only with a little difference in style.
