Alessandra is a talented soprano, wielding various styles of singing from Mediterranean to northern European, from ancient to modern. Like Gothica, the compositions contrast low bass tones with heavenly voices, but the music is calmer and softer. Hexperos plays a somber and sublime "music of love and mystery".
The debut album, "The Garden of the Hesperides", came out in September 2007 on Equilibrium Music. The next album, "The Veil of Queen Mab" was released in September 2010, also on the EQM label.

Hexperos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
She approaches, closer and closer,
On her chariot,
Made of one single pearl,
Drawn by four dragonflies,
Four jewels that slipped out of
A fairy-like woman′s bosom.
The lyrics to Hexperos's song "The Fairy Appears" depict the arrival of a fairy-like woman on her chariot, which is made of a single pearl and drawn by four dragonflies. The fairy approaches the listener, getting closer and closer, as the song progresses. The four dragonflies pulling the chariot are described as jewels that slipped out of the fairy's bosom, highlighting the magical and mystical nature of the fairy.
The lyrics suggest that the fairy is a divine being, as the chariot is made of a single pearl, symbolizing purity and perfection. The use of dragonflies as the mode of transportation adds to the mythical aspect of the song since dragonflies are often portrayed as mysterious, symbolizing change and transformation. The four jewels that slipped out of the fairy's bosom also denote her splendor and majesty.
Overall, these lyrics paint a picture of a captivating and awe-inspiring mystical being coming closer and closer, enchanting the listener, and reminding them of the wonders and beauty of the natural world.
